Is that the place where all those Chinese workers jumped off a roof because they were working 100 hours a week??

----------

Hmm ok. Thanks. I can only hope!

Good point.

Yes, that's where all of our iPhones were made, the Foxconn factory in China.

----------

I just think its weird because it says "in transit" usually that means on a truck. I live in Seattle. I don't know that they would drive a truck from Louisville to Seattle right? Lol

No. Calm down, you'll have it tomorrow, assuming they fixed your address right.

----------

when i ordered, the expected delivery was the 30th at the earliest. Then when it shipped, it was to arrive tomorrow the 26th. Now it's on a truck a day early.

Not bad, UPS! :):apple::)

Me too! Was really hoping that the 30th would be the DAY and now it's TODAY! YAY!
I wonder if all the 1-3 day complainers are still complaining that some people got theirs on Tues. and now they had to wait until today or tomorrow? LOL

----------

I ordered a 32 GB grey at 2:20 AM PDT so I was a couple hours behind. My status just updated to shipped with delivery on Mon. Darn, that 2+ hrs of sleep is costing my 3-4 days of delivery time

But still earlier than Apple first quoted and you were expecting, right?

Amazing, South Korea to New York in 1 day, using 3 planes.

You do realize that they pick up a day when they cross the dateline, right? For example, flights that leave at 12 noon today (Wed) in Beijing arrive San Fran at 10 AM also on Wed. Yes, based on local times, you arrive before you left ;)

Going the other direction is when you get screwed...

Now that's efficiency!

Baldwin Park, CA, United States 09/25/2013 7:14 A.M. Out For Delivery
09/25/2013 7:13 A.M. Arrival Scan

I know my baby sitter will text me before the UPS scan shows, but I still keep going that that window and hitting F5. lol None of it matters because I won't be home before 4:30 or 5 anyway. Just hoping she hears them and I don't get the dreaded "missed delivery" message.

For those of us with Verizon 32GB Gold's... All I have to say is....

ABT

I hope that UPS's estimate is correct and the phones will be arriving for us on Friday!

Foxconn has many plants in China. I do not believe this plant is one that was in the news. I believe that one was in schenzen.

Not looking great for those of us who have phones waiting to leave Incheon. While the Incheon airport reported the flight as having departed (i.e. pulled away from its hangar/gate) over an hour ago (about 40 minutes late), flightaware still does not list it as in the air.

I hope that is just due to a updating issue with flightaware, otherwise they are pushing 2 hours late which could mean a lot of missed connections in Louisville tomorrow in the early am.

Sigh.

I'd love to watch a documentary on this operation. It astounds me that UPS can deliver millions of iPhones from China to people's doorsteps in 2 1/2 days.

You'll have it tomorrow.

If it's in Louisville by 9PM est, and it has an air label (international/express) you're 99% next day.

Now mine says Exception !!!! It went from Louisville to Bryan Texas??? My delivery is to nj what's going on????

Mine is stuck in Manchester too. GRR!!

Well, mine made it from Manchester to Wells, ME, but now I'm showing delivery for tomorrow instead of today. :(

There was no departure scan out of Manchester, btw. Just an arrival in Wells.

According to flightaware all the flights from Incheon to Anchorage (UPS, FedEx, Polar Air Cargo, Asiana, etc.) have yet to depart. Weather in Anchorage looks ok, enroute issue maybe?

Ours didn't depart until 11:30 yesterday. It's only 11. You're still ok.

It's HERE!
Boston Northshore Space Grey T-M no contract

I hope eventually Verizon will allow this phone since it is now compatible with their full network.

Initially I'll probably use AT&T initially, a SIM was delivered at the same time... nice and convenient.

I had two phones on that flight (out for delivery today!) and actually it departed at 8:54AM CDT. It is now 10:02AM CDT so over an hour later.

I hope it's just flightaware not getting updates from Korea.

The flight to Minneapolis from Louisville is one of the last so I should be ok, but a lot of people will have trouble if it is 2+ hours late getting into KSDF.

No idea what happened to mine. They had some problems with the label I guess and now it doesn't have an estimated shipping time.

Any ideas?

looks like you changed the destination address while it was in route(still in china). So the first place that thing is scanned(ky), it gets kicked out and has to be relabeled by hand with where ever you told them to send it.
Even if you are only putting a "hold at depot", it still gets kicked out because the destination change is considered an exception and requires a human. which also means that could make it miss the connection out in some cases

Oh man, me too. That kind of stuff fascinates me.

Rock Center with Brian Williams team did a 12-minute piece last year about how FedEx Domestic Overnight works. It's pretty amazing stuff.
