The watch gets the notifications instead of your phone making noises since your wearing it, no reason to have it ding/vibrate on your wrist and then again on your phone :)

I know. I was just wondering if possible. Sometimes I don't hear the sound or feel the vibration. Not sure why lol

I'm at day 1 and love this thing. Superb watch with great notifications. My only concern is Hey Siri.

"hey siri." "hey Siri" "hey SIRI" "HEY SIRI!"

is what I end up doing everytime...someone have a remedy for this?

This is my first day, and my battery life seems ok, but not nearly as good as yours.

I have the brightness to max, which may be part of the issue, and I'm messing with it a bit since it's new.

It's been off the charger since 5:15 am and it's now 3 pm (so basically ten hours) and I'm at 58% battery remaining. So, I'll get over 20 hours at this pace which is great, but how did you go that long and still have 48%? wow.

Mine's a SS 42mm.

I see roughly 4-5% an hour usage. I have quite a few email accounts and I have calendar events on the Modular face so I wouldn't be surprised if that uses more battery.

I have the screen brightness on lowest setting and I don't have any issues reading the display outside (seems to be adaptive anyway).

I usually end the day between 15-25% battery remaining.

If Siri stops working on wrist raise (when you have it enabled you still need to wait until the display lights up before speaking) try restarting the Watch (long press on side button then swipe) or if that doesn't fix it wipe the Watch completely and re-pair (Reset is under Settings on Watch).

I have the exact same problem. I think Siri is seriously p****ed at me. :p

Update on my first day… still full brightness. Decent amount of use. It's been 12 hours since I started wearing it and I'm at 51%. I can live with this. :D

I had my watch for almost a week (blue Sport) and sold it yesterday as I want to move up to the SS version, which I have on order (actually 3 different variants hoping one ships sooner). I do miss it and felt odd not having it on my wrist. I actually felt a bit remorseful and guilty selling it off, but then I remind myself all will be good when I get the new watch.

I've got one of my mechanical watches on for the time being...

You will be glad you did the SS is so much more premium feeling! Button, crown finish & weight are all v v nice!

What are your usage stats? Same question to the OP.

You have to make sure your display is lit up before you say Hey Siri.

LOL, I just asked mine "how are you" and the response was "Happy to be alive!"

Thanks for posting that. I totally agree. Mine has become a part of me and it makes my life easier in so many ways. Apple did an amazing job designing it!

Yea, I love this watch. Love it. My Internist is jealous as hell. :D:D:D he will be happy when he gets all of my stats, though. Actually his assistant asked me about my sleeping habits, I said, "I sleep an average of 7.2 hrs/night"...and I meant it. Actually, being about to say things like that does mean something.

A) what accent do you have?
B) Do you pronounce your words correctly and at a reasonable speed?

I assume you do the latter, so the only thing I can think of is saying "hey Siri" too quickly so that it can't figure out if you're saying "heysiri" or "hey_siri" - I found this was the case with my iPhone occasionally.

Agree. 1week 4 hrs ago it arrived. Have worn it every day since for at least 14 hrs but often 18 hrs. Have finally stopped obsessing about Battery Life. End of day usually have around 60% remaining ... Have SS 38 mm. Just love it.:)

I think the reason people are having a hard time with the watch responding to "hey Siri" is because I believe the watch face comes on quicker than Siri activates. So if you just wait a second or 2 after the watch face lights up then say "hey Siri" it should register. I was having a hard time also and Siri wasn't always responding because I was being too quick. Pause a second after the screen lights up and you should be good. Try it. It worked for me. :)

Very much agree with OP's assessment. Very impressed after a week myself. Battery life has especially been a great positive surprise!

I have an LG G Watch R and am going to a conference next week. I was going to alternate between that and my new 42mm (BCB) day to day to see which I'd end up preferring.

After 2 hours using the Apple Watch I knew. Gave the LG G Watch R to my BF and am heading to the conference w/only an Apple Watch. :D

Oh, and I love the jellyfish watch face. So cool looking, and it makes me relax a bit every time I look at it.

I've been more than thrilled with the battery life. I could easily get through two days without a charge. I take the watch off the charger at 5 a.m., and put it back on at 9 p.m. I believe it was at 60% last night.

I think the Stand Up is my favorite feature. How weird is that!

There aren't a lot of threads like this, so it's nice to read that there are people out there enjoying their purchases. With the delays and other complaints I was starting to have some concerns. I haven't received my watch yet, but this thread makes me feel more excited to receive it. Glad you love the watch.

I'm loving my watch! I knew going in that it's not a phone strapped to my wrist and have used it accordingly. Read incoming notifications, check the weather (do that way more than I thought) and last, and most importantly, check the time! It's kind of weird, as a new toy you want to play with it often but the nature of the Watch is that it just sits there in the background. Can't wait for Click to ship so I can spice up my band options. The Black Sport band is getting the job done (business casual office) for now, but I'd like some leather options.

I just wish there was a way to make the email sound on the watch the same email sound on the iPhone and Mac. I don't mind the text tone.

How did you get the G Watch R to work with your iPhone? Or Apple with Android?
