Looks like I'll be working on a Leopard install image now since we've written up documentation instead of a 10.4.11 one.

My image masters will be an iMac G5 and a Mac mini Core Duo.

So, this means that the Mac version is out of beta, correct? They wouldn't push a beta version in an update. I didn't check too closely, but it was a final version that shipped with Leopard, wasn't it? If not, does Leopard have a Software Update for Safari today? Was this version available for download for Tiger on the day that Leopard was released?

So many questions...

I've found the answers to some of my own questions.

So, I'm assuming that it's version 3.0.4 that's included in this update today. I'm not home yet so I can't verify this yet. Does anyone know if this was the version made available to download for Tiger users from apple.com on the 26th, or did they keep it at 3.0.3, (until today)?

It also looks as if 3.0.4 for Windows is still a beta version.

Does Safari 3 have the brush metal or unified look?

EDIT: Nevermind, found the answer

EDIT2: Just updated, so far so good. With Safari 3 now in Tiger, the incentive to use Leopard has been further reduced....at least for now

If they got rid of brushed metal in itunes why cant they do the same with safari? Keeping it for no reason is just stupid.

Excellent... I feel less inferior for still using Tiger now.

Which I will be, until Leopard gets rounded menu corners. ;) Just kidding.

NZ DST fix is about 6 weeks too late! Had the wrong clock for about 2 weeks until dst rolled over when it used to. Oh well, at least ill now be sorted for next year.
And i know i shouldnt complain, but automatically setting time doesnt work on my iphone either.

The brushed metal comes from system-wide images, I believe. I installed UNO ages ago, so I haven't seen brushed metal (in Safari or any other app) since.

I highly recommend it, if you're still using Tiger. :)

That's good! Even though all my Macs are Leopardized, getting Safari 3 to Tiger is very nice.

I need 10.4.11 on the Xserve so bad... since you cannot manage the Xserve (10.4.10) under Leopard.

Shouldn't all of these updates be pushed to my Software Update? Is there a reason I'm not seeing these yet? (I own all of those apps..)

Have you updated to 10.4.1 yet? I didn't see these until after the OS update.

yay some much love for us tiger users.
Now should i install this update then upgrade to leopard (archive and install) or should i not install this update. ummmm

Although I do appreciate the several fixes that 10.4.11 has provided, I'm still more than  because it did not fix the mounting problems caused by 10.4.10 for my Maxtor One Touch USB 2.0 external drive.

I was really hoping it would. My only hope now is that 10.5.1 or later fixes the external mounting problems - but this doesn't seem to be high on Apple's priorities of things to fix. <if there were a crying emoticon I would use it right here>

At long last!

Safari 3 is a major update for me, as it fully supports GMail (inc Rich Text) and Google Docs. Safari 2 was rough on Google, and had no support for Google Docs. And, seriously, it seems snappier on my 1.33 G4 w/ 1 GB RAM.

I don't recall 10.3.9 users getting Safari 2 back in 2005.

Ugh!

I'm finally getting ready to install 10.5 on my first generation Macbook! Alas, 10.4.11--we were not meant to be--now where is 10.5.1!

10.5.1 now she is the hottie...10.4.11 "you are past your prime girl'.:p
