EDIT2: Just updated, so far so good. With Safari 3 now in Tiger, the incentive to use Leopard has been further reduced....at least for now
Anyone know how to remove the pop up window that asks if i really want to close safari with multiple windows/tabs open? It doesn't have the little box to say don't bother me again like windows does. I don't want this to be windows!!!
If they got rid of brushed metal in itunes why cant they do the same with safari? Keeping it for no reason is just stupid.
The brushed metal comes from system-wide images, I believe. I installed UNO ages ago, so I haven't seen brushed metal (in Safari or any other app) since.
I highly recommend it, if you're still using Tiger. 🙂
can anyone please tell me the version of the AppleFWaudio.kext driver, located in /system/library/extensions/ ?
is it still the same, buggy 2.1.0 ?
good choice, stay away from leopard for now.i made the mistake of installing that piece of $@$% and am back in tiger.have been using safari 3 in beta in tiger anyways so no biggie but nice to see a final.
we'll see how the 10.5.1 update pans out but unless it's magic,i am not touching it with a 10 foot pole.so far leopard is absolute trash on my mac pro
Incredible - after seventeen months or so without WPA-authenticated connectivity to my Linksys BEFW11S4, this issue seems to be fixed!

Why are you using such a slow wireless router in this day & age? You must be on a very old computer with Wireless-B?🙁
Any plug-ins installed?
It says 2.2.0 on PPC mac.
Thanks!
So they changed the core audio driver as well.
Maybe this person is happy with the router they have, or can't afford to upgrade. It certainly doesn't mean they have to have an old computer to use wireless B
Upgrading to a g base station has increased my throughput from about 1500kbps to 2500kbps. You never get the theoretical maximum data rate or range with WiFi, so the new versions still improve the performance even for regular users. Unless you have the cheap, less than 1Mbps DSL line, upgrading might still make sense. As to wireless - does 802.11b support less bandwidth than my consumer DSL service? I don't think so. So I think it still makes sense to continue using it for internet access.
Why's yours 40 some MBs and mine was 70?
UNO probably won't work. Historically, it's required an update for every new 10.4.x release.Soo, very tempted to download this update, but...
I have UNO running. Do i have to restore to Aqua to install the update? And does UNO work on 10.4.11?
Thanks!
This should tide me over 'til I purchase Leopard in a month or two after its become more stable.
