My Exposé windows have always gotten a little blurry. Maybe you just didn't notice it before?
No, I'm sure it's at least more blurrier now. I didn't have this issue before. It's just a bit disturbing. I hope I get used to it.

On the 9600 it is choppy still :( 720p playback is perfectly smooth though.

On the 9400M plays back 1080p perfectly fine.

I do not know if that bleeds into other apps or if it is a 1080p bug only. Hopefully only that.

Thanks for posting the "fix". I don't really care about not having four-finger swipe, but pissed they didn't include it for us (Early 08 MBP users). I'll probably activate it just to stick up my nose at apple. :) ;)

Same here. Screw them for this. (but I'll still buy another mac when I need it. lol)

I would love to know more about this one. How would a language issue affect calculator accuracy?

This may be somehow caused by the fact that in the german language not points but commas are used to mark post-decimal positions.

2.2 is 2,2 over here.

Can someone please check if older MacBook Pros (like the early 2008 one) also have the new touchpad area in the Systemsettings and wether Apple enabled the new gestures?

I had the same issue, my package was supposed to be 190MB but software update tried to install it with just 80MB  Trying once more via software update... I suggest checking the library/updates/Mac OSX Update/Packages and seeing how big the update file is before agreeing to restart...

I am currently stuck at "Configuring Installation" also. I have a penryn MBP and have never had problems installing updates before. Any recommendations on what I should do? It's been like this for over half an hour with no progress.

K.. just forced a restart... rebooted and everything appears to be normal (quite scary there since i didnt back up my machine). the OS X update file in library/updates is 84.8MB instead of the 190MB. Will go download from the website now.

Don't they do that all over Europe?

Issue burning disks

Can anyone try throwing a CD-RW into their upgraded machine? For some reason my MP at work will not recognize a CD-RW in the superdrive. Also, I can't seem to burn CD-R properly now.

Thanks ahead of time to anyone who can help.

Did you puch the phsical power button, or did you do a terminal restart? I'd like to do a terminal restart if possible.

You could do that before?

I remember trying on my MacBook and not being able to ..... you sure that you could change the finder's icon sizes?

Yeah, I could definitely do that. I just tried it on some photo thumbnails and it no longer works :(

Stuck as well, but no more

The Combo update (for those of us with more than one Mac) isn't on the downloads page yet, but here's the link - http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_6_Combo_Update

Software Update via Apple Menu downloaded VERY quickly, however, like some here, it hung after "Restart" at the configuration process. That's never happened to me before, even after jumping quick on an update.

I just forced a shutdown after waiting 1/2 an hour with no progress (held down the Power key) and went to the handy link plinden so kindly provided. Downloaded the combo update, then opened 'er up and ran it. Took a little longer this way, but all is well now. Will now repair permissions as a matter-of-course after this update.

On which sites? Are they heavily into Javascript? It's possible that Safari could be faster if Apple has updated the javascript engine.

Can you run some javascript benchmarks? Hmm hard to compare though if you've already updated. Pity I'm away from my Mac.

Can someone run SunSpider before and after updating?

Before:

And After

Significant improvement, although Safari version number hasn't changed. Probably due to cache emptying?

It seems to be the common answer to people having problems when they use the software update control panel. At least from what I read on macfixit or macintouch. Even Apple forums, users suggest going back and re-installing the update using combo installer. Usually resolves issues after the first try. So I skip the control panel and go straight for the combo updater.
