Got up to 300MB in less than 2 minutes but now all of a sudden the last 77MB is taking well over 5min.

Overall, I love Apple and their products. I trust that when I get a new Mac, it's going to work right out of the box.

But I still get a bit skittish when it comes to incremental point upgrades to the OS. Especially since I'm the only Mac on a 2000+ user Windows network.

I think I'll wait a week to see what, if any, "undisclosed alterations" Apple has made to how it plays with Windows networks.

Alright. I'll install after my last final tonight. Just in case...

:)

I hope safari is snappier!

Yikes, these updates seem to come out pretty often. Nothing but a good sign - it's nice to see Apple paying attention to fixes.

I hope I survive this incremental update! :apple::)

35 posts so far and none has complained that he has to restart his mac.

good. one more minute for me.

I have the same MBP as you...hope we get the 4-finger swipe.
But I'm just hoping this is more stable than the 10.5.5.…that update gave me so many problems
No 4 finger swipe on my MacBook Pro with the update and my update is 377MB, but my Finder is 10.5.8?

just updated.. i dont notice much of a difference. I'll keep wandering :)

nothing much in the update I really used.

So it all seems okay then on the whole?

Would you ever see Windows users huddled round a forum like a campfire whenever there's an update?

That's what I like about us lot, it really makes it feel like a community. :)

OSX 10.5.5 wouldn't download/install properly for me. anyone else hear of similar issues?

hopefully 10.5.6 won't give me problems. I'll try tonight

Windows users would be on the forum all day if that were the case, seems Windows Update is finding small random updates every day.
