Yeah, that's odd. OS X 10.5.5, Finder was at version 10.5.6. Strange how it skipped 10.5.7..

10.5.7 was the version in the special build of 10.5.5 that came with the Unibody machines.

Yikes, these updates seem to come out pretty often.

No different from earlier versions of OS X - the 10.x.6 versions all arrived after about one year (except 10.2.6 which was released 8 months after 10.2.0)

I might be imagining this, but I'm 99% certain Safari is running 10 times quicker than it was before installing 10.5.6 - most sites are loading in the blink of an eye which they never used to.

I really hope this fixes my issues with my ATI X1900 XT graphics card. That thing has been a real nightmare at times.

I would say this is unlikely to fix your X1900 card. Mine and many others started the wonky lines and all due to a hardware failure of the card and a replacement is the only way to fix it.

Safari does seem snappier and I'm not just continuing off this tradition - OS X in general seems a bit snappier.
