Haven't heard of any solution. :(

I think what we need to do is for everyone to give AppleCare a call and report the problem.

The more problem reports they get, the more likely it'll get fixed sooner!

I've been having the same problem, since the 10.5.7 upgrade - my bluetooth mighty mouse stops working 2-3 times a day. Weird thing is my bluetooth apple keyboard works fine during such mouse dropouts.

I still haven't figured out if any events cause the mouse to stop working, or if it's plain random. The only way to bring the mouse to work again is by turning my MBP's bluetooth off/on. Batteries are fine btw... has anyone figured this one out?

I was wrong: BOTH my mmouse & wileless keyboard are dropping connection 2-3 times a day. Turning them off/on doesn't help - only when I use the trackpad to turn MBP's bluetooth off/on.

Really hope they fix this soon. I'll call applecare tomorrow and report any findings.

^ What did AppleCare say?

I've lost them 3 times today which is a record for me.
Just got off the phone with them (their new "create a case online and have AppleCare call you" thing is kinda cool!)

The guy I talked to hadn't heard of it, so he wanted to me do what we've talked about in this thread (reset the PRAM, reset the SMC, delete the bluetooth devices and recreate them, remote bluetooth from the network). If the problem still exists, I need to create a new user account and use that for awhile and see if it's still there. If so, then reinstall the OS. Call back if the problem still exists.

Looks like I have some work to do.

He was also surprised that I don't have a com.apple.bluetooth.plist in my Home Folder > Library > Preferences folder?

I've had that problem with the Mighty Mouse dropping its bluetooth connection out of nowhere as well. Was so feed up with it that I just returned the thing back to Best Buy.

My Logitech V470 however runs perfect no drops at all. Best damn BT mouse out there I think.

Will try and reply ASAP. Previous update link is there though for all to try. Hope it solves the problem....

Let's hope it works.
At least not here: uMBP 14" with Mac OS X 10.5.7 and the Bluetooth fix installed: Lost connection to Apple BT keyboard and Mighty Mouse two times since yesterday.

I just used the trackpad to open the Bluetooth system preferences and (w/o turning BT off / on) both devices connected again.

Yep, here too. Lost connection twice in about 4 hrs since installing the patch.

Really pathetic.

I just lost them yet again. I can also confirm that you can get them back by simply opening "Bluetooth Preferences" from the menu bar.

It takes a little while to open but when it does, both the mouse and keyboard are connected again.

Bit easier than disconnecting then reconnecting to get them back.

I haven't tried removing them, then re-adding them since the firmware update - so I might try that now.

This is all pretty piss poor IMO.

I just bought a Wireless Mighty Mouse, and have the BT update installed so I will test it out with my MacBook. So far I have not had it disconnect on me yet (knock on wood).

Also testing my Imac with its MM.

My Bluetooth keyboard/mouse problems (disconnection without any message) seem to have been fixed. (early 2008 MBP).

Also, Bluetooth connections at startup (at login screen) seem faster/more reliable too.

Edit: No, scratch that, I just lost my keyboard and mouse connection again.

uMB. Lose connection with mighty mouse. I also open notebook and use trackpad to just open bluetooth preferences and the mouse immediately reconnects.

Has anyone spoken with Apple about this. Its getting annoying and the Bluetooth firmware update did nothing.

After I installed the firmware 2.0 update I reset the PRAM and SMC, repaired permissions, etc. I lose the keyboard but never the mouse; it just lags a lot.

The update did NOT fix this...

THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING!!! I'm still loosing connection between my MB and both my wireless Apple keyboard & Mighty Mouse... 3-5 times a day. Seems that the latest Bluetooth Firmware Update 2.0 is not making a difference.

BUT WORSE: I bought this keyboard 3 weeks ago to help me work, since my iMac - including it's original keyboard - has been in the shop for AppleCare repair since May the 8th --- 6 weeks and counting!!! I took the keyboard to the same Apple Store this past weekend: the genius told me he couldn't replace it or refund: if I wanted it fixed, I should let them repair it for 1-2 weeks... ridiculous!

C'mon Apple, get your act together!!! I'm contacting customer service about both issues... this is just too much.

Has anyone got the contact info for customer service?
