My solution

I have experienced the same annoying repetitive loss of connection. In my case it was actually a hardware problem. The small metal piece connected to the on-off button needed to be bent out a millimeter and after doing so I no longer have the problem of losing connection.

If anyone else dares to try this - please let us know if it solved the problem for you as well.
