I have tried multiple style cases with the 13 and now 15 Plus and none have helped with the edges digging into my hand. I have not tried a leather case so that may be an option to check out, thank you. Do you have a brand of leather case that you would recommend?

I had Apple ones on all my phones til I got the 13PM, used 2 different clear cases (one from Apple) for almost 2 years and didn't like them. Since apple discontinued leather, I got a Bullstrap and it is same feel (for me) and quality as the Apple ones.
Take a look at the iPhone Accessories sub forum, there are plenty threads about leather cases

That would imply that only the 17 Pro Max will get the under the display FaceID based on the speculation that once again Apple will want exclusive features on the Pro Max to upsell it. I personally believe either both models (Pro and Pro Max) will get it or neither. Now, 12GB of RAM that will be exclusively available with the 17 Pro Max is more likely. Hopefully not, but Tim’s mind works differently.

A small hole punch is still a notch. I know Tim Cook is too clueless to understand that.
Why not go back to bezels instead of notches, and why not go back to screens with 90-degree corners instead of rounded corners? If Cook does not understand why not, then he is immensely clueless in the area of user-friendliness, and thus should not be leading a computer company.

As a person who prefers smaller iPhones, the size of the is about as big as I prefer to go. So I’m not pleased that the phones are going to keep getting bigger, with the only other option being the forthcoming SE, which does not interest me.

That's the thing - I never had to use a case on my 4s, 5s, 6s+ or 8+. They were a joy to hold in the hand (thanks in part to the curved edges of the latter 2 phones), and I didn't have to content with a case making my phone any thicker or heavier than it absolutely had to be.
My 13 Pro Max though. It's functional (big screen, equally big battery), but I just don't find the square edges comfortable to hold. And well, control center really belongs to the bottom, not the top.

I think these kinds of articles do a disservice by encouraging people to not make a purchase on a factual based phone, so that people can wait on a phone with nothing behind it but unsubstantiated rumors for will take a year to possibly come to fruition in whole or in 1 or 2 parts.
If you need a phone now, get one. There is no need to wait. Tech is always changing and we will always be behind the latest tech.

I only really care about #5, the 48MP telephoto lens. I would love it if all of my cameras were up to the same spec.
As for the rest, I'm confused. Aren't the below two items, #1 and #9, referring to the same thing? I mean, if the FaceID is under the display and there is only a circular cutout for the front facing camera, wouldn't that then imply that the Dynamic Island would be much smaller, as in just a circular cutout?

A recent (disappointing) rumour I heard was that only the Pro Max was getting under display Face ID next year, so either way, this article is inconsistent and very possibly wrong. So it might be:
2025 - iPhone 17 Pro Max
2026 - iPhone 18 Pro
2027 - iPhone 19

Willing to wait for iPhone 19 or Huawei Ultimate which I saw yesterday that blew me away! Hope they make global launch..,That pretty much iPad + iPhone Pro Max in one form and I am sure it will be lot lot more expensive than any of the mobiles available in the market!

Ross Young has revised this rumor under screen Face ID will not come until 2026 IPhone 18 pro max. However Pu claims Apple is reducing the Dynamic Island by adopting a smaller meta lens!

There’s always going to be a better phone the following year, if you need a new phone now, have one. I’ve upgraded and will get the iPhone 18 in 2 years time and that’ll be better than the 17. Life is too short.
