You’re aware why they moved to aluminium?Beat me to it. Bring back titanium! Prepared to hang on to this 16P for the long haul
It won't be. Apple never releases the same "hero" color year over year.I seriously hope Cosmic Orange is still an option for the 18 Pro Max.
yup, still prefer the 16. That camera bar is LAFYou’re aware why they moved to aluminium?
And the majority of us don't give a ****, and absolutely hate it...You’re aware why they moved to aluminium?
But it's such a useless metric. No one uses their phone this way. They used to report number of hours of wireless web (and still do for iPads and Macs). Why did they stop doing that?Just blew my mind to discover streamed video playback on 15 Pro vs 17 Pro is 20 hrs vs 30 hrs.

It's impossible to not see/feel the 17 Pro as a major regression in terms of build quality and materials. Because it is.
They deliberately do it this way to annoy you.But it's such a useless metric. No one uses their phone this way. They used to report number of hours of wireless web (and still do for iPads and Macs). Why did they stop doing that?
I am about to buy a 17 Pro. i finally got my hands on one and was impressed. I am still using my 13 Pro. Can you say how this regression feels to you (who cares what it looks like) or how it affects it's performance or possible shelf-life?And the majority of us don't give a ****, and absolutely hate it...

It will definitely be the newest iPhone yet ( until they release a newer model ).This is going to be the most powerful iPhone yet, designed only the way Apple can do it. -Tim A
Yes, but I'm an Apple gadget guy and CONSUMERISM!I don't get your logic. If a new phone is not better than your current phone, you're not losing out. That doesn't suck for you. You should be happy. Seeing it as being "stuck with" something that is fully functional and not significantly worse than a newer model doesn't make sense.
You don't have to spend your money. That's a win.
When the iPhone starts to slow down, I tend to notice it and I suspect that will happen with the new iOS.
They don’t believe it is, but they may have no choice as they add new/larger components such as a new camera system and/or battery. They went from titanium to aluminum to keep the weight in check for the 17 Pro/17 Pro Max. Maybe eventually they’ll reduce the weight again, but it probably won’t be easy. The iPhone Air 2 will probably gain a few grams. If you want a more capable camera, that’s the cost.I’m not sure why Apple believes it’s a good idea to make the Pro models thicker and heavier with every new release.
Well said. My simple observation, this board has become overrun with negativity/complaining...and most of the time its the same people complaining about anything and everything Apple does.David Attenborough: here we see the curious subspecies of the human, the MacRumors reader, demonstrating his unique ability to find negativity in every situation.

Yes the mods should ban negging more than they do opining but what can ya do. Don’t let it get to you, blood. Remember you can always close the tab and open another, or open the door and walk outside.Well said.
