Some of you might have seen my unboxing video for the recently purchased 17" 2011. At one point in the same said Unboxing video I say a passing comment that if you blinked you'd miss it but it has since then adversely affected my ownership experience.
I couldn't stop thinking that I only had the 2.2 and that there was a 2.3 out there. I couldn't handle it. I kept feeling like I couldn't unleash full-OCD mode until this was complete. I can max out everything but I can never go back and switch processors.
I plan to have the max everything: MBP, iPhone, and iPad. So I didn't want the 2.2 to be a weak link of imperfection I couldn't escape from. 2011, 17 inch, 8 gigs RAM, 7200rpm 750gb hard drive (can't live with 500ish of space), 32 GB iPhone, 64GB 3G iPad.
None of that would feel the same if I knew I had a non maxed out processor in one of the trilogy items.
Literally, you can go to the customize option and there is nothing more you can add or upgrade!
Oh yeah I'm getting an iPod nano too (16 of course).
