The iPad Pro hardware has been excellent for well over 2 years, what has been left sorely lacking in that timeframe is iPad OS. The two biggest updates were the still-woefully-indadequate Files app and the very, very late trackpad support. I've heard that the new processors will finally be capable of providing the horsepower to overhaul the OS, but I already had multi-window and full-screen external monitor support on my 2009 MacBook with 2GB of RAM and an ancient processor, why is the iPad still such a slouch?

I'm concerned about dimming zones on mini-LED. I'd rather have an individual pixel lighting of OLED or maybe microLED.

Mini-LED is overly complicated for a feature that is achievable easily by cheapest OLED panel.

mini led > oled

How? Dimming zones means it's not completely black with dynamic images on screen. The edges between dark and light images will have halo effect unless it's on point with LED zoning curvature.

I've seen Samsung QLED tried hard to compete with LG OLED TVs.. still doesn't look as great after all these years, except maybe QLED goes a bit brighter than OLED..

Yeah those huge notebooks with their mini 13” displays. funny how nobody complains about their notebook screen being too big.

The 9.7” iPad has almost the same footprint as the 11” with the loss of the bezels and home button.

Does OLED still have the burn-in problem? If so, I bet people would be pissed if they start seeing the fuel gauge and date and time burned into the top of their iPad screens.

And yet millions buy oled iPhones. And iPad is simply a bigger iPhone.

And yet burn-in on OLED TVs is a real thing. And would occupy more space and be more noticeable on an 11" or 13" iPad which is rotated from landscape to portrait more often than a 5" phone.

Wait, so you want them to increase the price, just to make “your” decision to purchase the iPad Air more valid?
that makes absolutely no sense, make the customers that will appreciate the iPad Pro pay more, to make me feel better
I'm just trying to find creative ways to engage with posts and add to my post count. Didn't realize there was a marketplace here and recently needed to sell 2 old iPads.

But anyway, just trying to say that I wouldn't be opposed to Apple adding even more "Pro" level hardware to create a bigger price gap between the Air and Pro. I wasn't explicitly asking anyone to pay or agree with my thought, just expressing my thought here. 😂

because notebooks, which are computers, are supposed to be used on a tv with keyboard and mouse. People have 30+ inch monitors for PCs.

iPad, is supposed to be a handheld device. See no one wants 10 inch iphones, but whant 14-16-17 inch laptops. The Air 4 is not same footprint as Air 2. I have the 2 devices above each other, Air is definitely bigger.

Oh you’ll be surprised how people use notebooks. Also called laptops. Hint: on their laps. Sure, many connect them to external displays when working from home. TVs, not so much.

The iPad is a computer of course and can be used in plenty ways with non”supposed to” attached. Portrait, landscape, on the go, at a desk, with a magic keyboard for many as well.

The 11” might be a touch bigger but is the direct successor to the first small iPad Pro. A touch bigger but hardly worth mentioning. And I have them at home both.
