I switched off 4g (LTE) in settings on my iPhone 12 pro max several months ago (it was suggested by someone either here, or at apple forums) and that way, when phone stays on 3G network, it consumes only 2-4 % overnight. Lately I wanted to try it on 4G, thinking may be it's fixed already, and switched it back on, and voila, overnight it went from 19 % to 2 %. ..

This is happening to me again. 15% lost over night, I’m in an area with relatively weak reception however I never used to have this problem here. I’m also on Wi-Fi.

i can’t believe this is still broken.

Can confirm, this is still broken. One week ago, i stayed two nights in a room with zero reception. Absolutely no signal bars. **** hit the fan. Massive 50% drop for my 12 Pro in 8 hours. I think it's clear that this is modem induced battery drain. True question is, can it be fixed via software?

I can't explain my drain. It lost 13% Tues night into Wed.
Usual time, I take it off the charger around 11pm, wake up at 7. It showed 87%. NO apps, nothing unusual to show what sucked up the power.

Did the same exact time last night, woke up to 100% Thurs. morning. It's mind boggling.

Tonight I can do the same thing and I might lose 4-5% by tomorrow - Friday morning. Seems to change every night.

Does it show different apps using up your battery overnight?!

I’ve noticed find my app is killing my battery overnight since I got it activated while pairing my AirTag.

Yes. Both Tile, using a thin BT card in my wallet and Find My app with my AirTag on my keychain are both running. Also Siri sometimes showing always on for some unknown reason.

The drain is just unusual. 13% like a few nights ago or perhaps 1-2% another night, or 0% drain this morning - the same timeframe overnight each night. Odd!

I turned off Siri (only active via side button now) and it really helped! Plus I almost never use Siri anyway,
We have a communication issue, we don't understand each other. :)

I had seriously problem with drain over night for month but I found my problem. In network setting I had selected 4G and when I changed to 5 G auto it didn’t drain anymore 🤔. It’s really weird but sense this change it drain 3-4% over night. Before it could drain up to 30% over night

This Find My app is definitely the culprit for me. Drained nearly 40% last night.
