Ya nothing’s perfectI briefly owned the Galaxy Fold 2. I returned it for a variety of reasons. (Too heavy, too thick, too narrow outer screen, terrible volume rocker placement, too expensive, Android.)

Face ID fails too often for me. (First thing in the morning, can't unlock from a flat surface without adjusting, randomly get 'must enter passcode message', wearing a mask, other random times.) Touch ID essentially only failed me with wet fingers. Confident Apple's Touch ID on the screen solution will be excellent. One reason I waited so long to upgrade was the hope that the 12 series would have touch ID, but after 5 years I gave up and got the 12 Pro Max. As a practical matter, face ID works really well for me, there have only been a couple glitches during my first week. And I'll admit that Apple has made good use of the space where the physical home button was on my 6s Plus.
If Apple can develop a reliable under-the-screen touch ID, that would be great but I'm not planning to upgrade anytime soon. I suppose a folding phone (done right) might make me reconsider however. 😂
We’ll more likely get a touch screen Mac before an iPad Mini with phone capabilities 😂.If Apple ever added phone capability in the iPad mini natively ... I’d buy the largest available storage and be happier than a pig in sh!!
The extra height just makes it awkward to put into pockets.
Petaka case !I don’t think it’s the phone that’s bothering me it’s the silicone case. I only got it cause they had nothing else on the day. It grips to the inside of your pocket making it hard to put in your pocket and also picks up lint like crazy. Some how it does all this while not actually feeling grippy to the hand.
I just ordered a leather one online and going to take this one back in the 14 days.
yeah agreed! After retiring my 8+ --I still love that phone--and using the 12 PM for a little over a week, I can't even believe I considered a 12 Pro. This phone, paired with an Apple silicone or leather case is absolutely fantastic. And it's blue! Not a chance it goes back, no regrets.
Pro max !!I have always used the large sized phones but this one im trying to decide if I want to keep or downsize. I have an iPad for media consumption.. it feels overkill and not a as comfortable to hold. I did get a clickr case though and will see how that works out.
also looking at the normal pro it feels small....I can’t decide![]()

That is where I’m at. The 12 pro max is awesome.. but it feels a little big . And that’s strange confine from an 11 Pro. Thing is I don’t use the larger screen for many video watching since I’m always Using my iPad 11” . PiP is undoubtedly nice though. If apple had true split screen this wouldn’t even be a discussion for me... but they don’t. I really wonder their reasoning for not implementing this. I feel they could do it rather easilyOf the new phones I think my favorite is the normal 12 - I think that is the best model and bang for the bucksBut I have previously always used the max phones, so I was tempted and just traded the normal 12 to the 12 Pro Max. Love the screen but I have to admit the weight and form factor of the normal 12 is nice..
I just had issues with the battery and reading text on regular proThat is where I’m at. The 12 pro max is awesome.. but it feels a little big . And that’s strange confine from an 11 Pro. Yeah that’s something I’ll need to consider also. I’m always near a charger so in theory it’s not the end of the world. But I love not having to worry about battery. This case does make it a little easier to hold also.I just had issues with the battery and reading text on regular pro
Exactly - and I guess people coming from the old max isn't missing THAT much screen space with the 12 or 12 pro. Last year you had to choose between 5.8" and 6.5" - this year 6.1" is closer to the old max model - but of course the 6.7" on the new is nice. I guess that is why my dream iPhone would be a "non-pro" iPhone 12 MaxThat is where I’m at. The 12 pro max is awesome.. but it feels a little big . And that’s strange confine from an 11 Pro.
