I wonder if Apple believes they have hit the apex of potential users? The idea that 'everyone' has a charger and cable sitting around is laughable, especially for people coming over from Android. Yes, they have wall chargers, and USB-C and micro USB cables; try making that cable work. How about the chargers? Will they charge an iPhone with the proper cable, more than likely not. I have three Samsung blocks and not one of them is recognized by the phone.

What about people have thrown in the towel, and are finally getting a cell phone? I know a handful of farmers and retirees in MT who only this year got their first real smart phone (some still rocked flips).
I think it came down to the Qualcomm modem. On the Snapdragon 865 they had separate modems/chips for LTE and 5G and they were charging an extra ~$165 per chip because of it. Assuming the a14 would have the same modem capabilities. Think that's the main reason the pixel went with a lower tier chip to keep the cost of device from going up. Samsung raised prices because of it and had lower sales. So think the non included accessories and smaller batteries were to save $'s so apple didn't have to raise prices.

I have had every large phone since the 6 plus. Currently use the 11 Pro Max (personal) and XS Max (work) daily.

Just got the 12 Pro Max today with the black leather case. The sharp edges and the huge cameras are killing me. Not fun to hold at all. I hate the frame for the camera lenses built into the case.

Screen is slightly yellower on the 12 PM but not a huge deal.

We’ll see how I feel in a week.

12 Pro Max is a tad bit taller and a pinch wider. Nothing drastic though
Thanks... I was comparing to my mother's XS Max. Size is similar. I thought the 12 Pro Max would be noticeably bigger. Today is my first day playing with the 12 Pro Max. I popped in the sim from my 6 Plus, and instantly, saw 5G. I thought I needed a new Sim to get 5G benefits. Now that I see my sim working perfectly well, I guess I don't need to get a new SIM card.

How well does the 12 Max Pro with an apple silicone case fit into jeans pockets (specifically men’s jeans lol)?

I love mine, but have just come from 2 11 pro max; did dabble in a. 12 pro but fund it stage with two different size phones. So gone back to two 12 pro max phones. Strange slight wider than 11 pro max but got over that after a day or two.
