Agreed and for me the only stutter is when swiping up on apps. Everything else flies.
My iPhone 12 is stuttering all over the place the way my iPad Pro is. It’s just way more noticeable on the iPad Pro because of ProMotion. Apple news and music are particularly bad at times with sometimes actual pauses before scrolling continues.

Ive tried tons of remedies from restoring, to checking various accessibility settings, turning off animations, transparency, all with no success. My last step will be to delete all widgets and see what happens.

That is the stutter this conversation is about. Also, and more annoyingly, when that stutter breaks the home gesture and instead of going to the home screen, it goes to the multi-tasking card view.

Doing it for me alllll the time. Never had an iPhone that behaved this way till the 12 Pro Max. Really annoying.

It’s shocking to see them trying to start working on it no

Everyone with a developer account please do this.

Done. Attached the video in my feedback as well.

Hopefully there's real movement here now. I gave up going through normal channels and tried to get to executive support (via Tim Cook email) and got a conversation started there last week too.

Happens multiple times (many multiples of times) a day for me. It's like it pauses while closing to the Home Screen, and then opens the App Switcher. Drives me nuts.

I can well imagine, having seen the video a few posts back. For someone not seeing the issue (like me), "stutter" understates the magnitude of the problem - it's serious.

Some good news, I'm much closer to the developers themselves now and have been escalated enough that I'm providing logs and tracing directly. Even have some of the Apple guys themselves saying they've noticed the stutter on their own devices.

Definite movement now. Something I couldn't say for months until now.

okay, but are we sure this is software related? I have been following this thread for a while now as I have these issues on mine.. secondly, are there iPhones that don't have this issue or just simply owner that dont see it

General consensus is that it is s/w related though some do think it's h/w. Some see severe manifestations of the problem but I rarely see the mildest form on my 12 Pro Max - so it varies a lot.

Great work! Thanks for your efforts.

At this point I’m actually quite suspicious on the ability of Apple employees. Can they really solve this problem?

guys are you talking about stutter during opening apps animation? or just when you close the apps?

Just bought an iPhone 12 Pro.

Noticed that when exiting an app, as the app closes there appears to be a stutter. As the app closes (sliding up) the rectangle window becomes white.

so I presume this is software related and not hardware related?

Why can’t they fix this damn issue that’s been happening for MONTHS? It’s ridiculous that it’s still happening after a .4 release.

Probably not high on their priority list, or at least lower than other issues. They have to pick and choose by severity & priority.

I have same issue on ip12 mini. I’m actually disappointed, this is my first iPhone ever and I have been blinded by many people telling that iOS UI/UX is perfect and Apple always take care about small details. It’s not. Maybe this UX is still much better than most (if not every) Android OS (I’m comparing mainly to OneUI) but it is definitely far from perfect. This issue is huge for me.

IOS used to be perfect.Only in Jobs' time, but after he's gone, the IOS is perfect which is already a myth.

I don't have any stutter when I'm closing apps. I have a slight animation stutter when I want to open apps since I bought my iPhone 12 Pro Max.
