Wonder what took them so long. It's not like we have been overwhelmed with Apple news lately.
They are going to hire you. 😉I reported this lack on the "Site comments" section of the forums. An editor responded rather immediately and the news made the front page right after that. The editorial team was not aware of the issue until I reported it.
I still see 13.5 when refreshing software update on a 12.6.8 system. It appears that Apple is no longer pushing 13.5, I get “No new software available.” in Monterey 12.6.8. So, it might push 13.5.1 soon.
In Software Update, yes. But not for softwareupdate -lI still see 13.5 when refreshing software update on a 12.6.8 system.

Don't count on it until at least 13.6. At this point I don't think we'll have a 13.5.1 release.Hoping for a fix today
I am surprised such a major issue is left unresolved. Can't enable location services on Chrome on new device until this gets fixed.Don't count on it until at least 13.6. At this point I don't think we'll have a 13.5.1 release.
My Aug. 8 question and reply from chrfr...Does anyone know whether this issue will continue if I upgraded to the public Sonoma release when it officially comes out ? (I haven’t tried any of the betas). This is assuming it may not be fixed any sooner in Ventura..
I would assume so. The data is still there, it just can't be accessed through the UI. I have not tested a Ventura to Sonoma upgrade, but in clean Sonoma installs you can still access the Location Services settings. So, like you said yesterday, in the absence of a 13.5.1, Sonoma will pick up the Ventura Location Services configuration file and repopulate a "new" Location Services setting?
Yes, all the old settings are there.I'll wait for early adopters to test this update out first...eg does it repopulate the missing location permissions automatically from the Location Services configuration file or just allow you to repopulate permissions manually?
Very interesting how they released the fix update right on the same day I said this lol..Does anyone know whether this issue will continue if I upgraded to the public Sonoma release when it officially comes out ? Someone reported that he cannot search System settings any longer : can you?Very interesting how they released the fix update right on the same day I said this lol..
Anyways, glad that the issue has been finally resolved ! It did take a while, but at least they eventually fixed it. Hopefully there are no other bugs or issues on this version.
I was just about to install this. Any more details on the System setting problem? Where was this reported? Other than hearing this, I've not seen any other problems.Someone reported that he cannot search System settings any longer : can you?
