Unable to check for updates on any of my devices so maybe the fix is coming today.

It appears that Apple is no longer pushing 13.5, I get “No new software available.” in Monterey 12.6.8. So, it might push 13.5.1 soon.
I still see 13.5 when refreshing software update on a 12.6.8 system.

In Software Update, yes. But not for softwareupdate -l

Does anyone know whether this issue will continue if I upgraded to the public Sonoma release when it officially comes out ? (I haven’t tried any of the betas). This is assuming it may not be fixed any sooner in Ventura..

My Aug. 8 question and reply from chrfr...
So, like you said yesterday, in the absence of a 13.5.1, Sonoma will pick up the Ventura Location Services configuration file and repopulate a "new" Location Services setting?
I would assume so. The data is still there, it just can't be accessed through the UI. I have not tested a Ventura to Sonoma upgrade, but in clean Sonoma installs you can still access the Location Services settings.

It shows now and
"macOS Ventura 13.5.1 fixes an issue in System Settings that prevents location permissions from appearing.👏"

I'll wait for early adopters to test this update out first...eg does it repopulate the missing location permissions automatically from the Location Services configuration file or just allow you to repopulate permissions manually?

It's a testament to just how little I trust Apple that I'm going wait a few days before applying the fix. (Pretty selfish since I hope other people take the risk and report the results.)

I'm glad to see that Apple has finally released a fix for the issue. I do wonder though if it the issue had something to do with whatever changes were made to Apple Mobile File Integrity back when 13.5 was initially released... at the very least it'd be nice to know if my initial (semi)-educated guess was actually correct.

Very interesting how they released the fix update right on the same day I said this lol..

Anyways, glad that the issue has been finally resolved ! It did take a while, but at least they eventually fixed it. Hopefully there are no other bugs or issues on this version.

I was just about to install this. Any more details on the System setting problem? Where was this reported? Other than hearing this, I've not seen any other problems.
