I think this is it. The slimmer bezels, updated thermal design, and magic keyboard are the redesign, they just started it with the 16". I think this is the design we've got until they move to mini-LED and ARM.
I wouldn’t be so sure. They may slim down the footprint of the 13” instead. The 13” models, at 15/28W, have never had the heat issues of the 75+ Watt 15” model.I think we'll see similar updates to what the 16" received. The bezels on the 13" are large, and a 14" display makes sense along with the magic keyboard, improved speakers and mics, and updated thermal design.
Even if it increases the weight/thickness slightly, this is a "Pro" machine and I like the direction Apple is taking in that regard.
No surprise Apple is keeping the 13". Kuo's also predicting the return of 15" with scissor.
It makes the MacBook Pro lineup more complete.
I can't see the 15 coming back unless it's not a macbook pro at all (maybe a 15" macbook air?). It'd be too similar to the 16.No surprise Apple is keeping the 13". Kuo's also predicting the return of 15" with scissor.

Quite probably. But will it support 32GB of RAM?
Pretty sure they won't be able to find 0.7" of extra screen space from the bezels, if they couldn't find that much with the 15" model. The report claims the display size will remain 13.3 inches, although given the source is DigiTimes, we would not completely rule out hopes of a larger 14-inch display.
Shouldn't 2020 be the year of a "complete" redesign?
14" and 16" make more sense.
14", 15.4", and 16" makes no sense.

The 16” did not get WiFi 6. Doesn’t mean a new 13” will not, but just keep in mind the 16” didn’t actually get any hardware upgrades (other than additional CTO options) - it just got effectively a slightly new enclosure.
I may be wrong but I don't ever see apple making a 15" MacBook Air. The MacBook Air was designed to be an ultra portable, and having the 15" size kinda contradicts that.I can't see the 15 coming back unless it's not a macbook pro at all (maybe a 15" macbook air?). It'd be too similar to the 16.
Much rather see a 14" notebook in the same size case as the current 13". They did it with the 15" so should be able to do the same thing with the 13"
Only if Apple moves to an Intel CPU that supports LPDDR4/x as the 13” model is too small to get a much larger battery to deal with regular DDR4 DRAM power consumption and only if that CPU supports Intel’s Gen 11 ”Iris Plus” iGPUs.But will it support 32GB of RAM?
Wouldn't that require re-machining the aluminum case? The inverted "T" arrow keys if noting else.I sure wish Apple would offer the opportunity to upgrade the keyboards from the 2018 models to the new keyboard. I be happy to pay for the privilege. I had a chance to play with the new one this weekend, and it's much better feeling than the pounding-on-concrete version I have.
Many people think that it will actually be 14".
I completely agree. It would be very desirable too if they implemented WiFI-6, moved the entire MBP line to Gen 10 processors implemented FaceID and incorporated an HD video camera. A USB-4 implementation would also be a good idea, assuming the tech is mature enough.I think we'll see similar updates to what the 16" received. The base spec was increased, the screen was made bigger, the audio was improved, the battery and charger are bigger and more powerful. No hardware upgrades, you say?
