Edit - Dispatch date of August 12th, arrival August 16th! Wish I'd ordered the ultimate a week ago!

seems weird that it goes to germany then to Kazakhstan?! It must be a timezone issue.

mine suddenly had a load of stuff about Korea in it. UPS stupidly report by local time in the hop rather than local time to you.

I think my shipment is in Poland right now, why it goes from Germany to Poland to get to the UK is beyond belief, what is it about logistics companies?

Does this mean my package is still sitting at London Heathrow (LHR)? Anyone know what happens to the package at this point? Does it go to Apple's distribution centre in Leicester or does the courier pick it up directly from Heathrow to ship? My Apple account gives the following status "02 Aug 2011 (Subject to change). In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule".

I wonder if that 29th 'Requested delivery date' is the date for delivery to me or delivery to Apple's distribution centre.

The 29th will be the requested date to hand it off to the local UK couriers at Apple.

I have just spoken to an apple store rep and even though my Air is sitting in customs at Heathrow they are not expecting to deliver it to me until 2nd August due to the bank holiday weekend in Scotland.

Hmm looks like I have to wait longer. When i ordered a couple nights ago, the estimate delivery time was around the 4th Aug but by adding thr Education £65 voucher its delayed it to 8th Aug. Why can't they just credit my account with £65 - would make like much easier and be friendly on the environment.

Once they have received your MBA parcel you will be allocated a courier tracking number on your apple order status.

Sadly it's still looking like it's going to be after the bank holiday weekend folks

I'm generally annoyed with Apple at the moment, though my order is HE.

Placed on the Wednesday launch, originally scheduled for the 2nd August. BTO says it'll take 3 days before shipping out. However, it sat there doing nothing until yesterday (5 working days, not 3) before being prepared for shipment, finally shipping today (6 working days).

The delivery estimate is now the 5th August. It hasn't left China yet.

The only explanation I've possibly had is that my HE AppleCare uplift was "out of stock" and is having to be shipped separately. Yes, a few pieces of paper.

My status now says "Services Completed: Delivered" (on the expo site) since 10am this morning so this means that Apple now has my MBA in their distribution centre. Would it be too much to ask for them to ship it overnight so i can get it tomorrow instead of waiting all weekend?

I still haven't had a tracking number from Apple so have no idea if I need to take a day off work to wait in for the package tomorrow monday or tuesday...

Same here. Our computers must have been on the same pallet.
We have a bank holiday in Scotland on Monday so I'm hoping for delivery tomorrow if possible. Will they attempt delivery on a Saturday?

Looks like they arrived at Apple's distribution centre at 11am this morning (10 GMT on the manifest). I'm guessing they are now sitting in that big warehouse in Leicester waiting to be allocated to the final part of the journey. Fingers crossed they can get them booked in this afternoon!

I think I can ignore the original order estimate that has not been updated since the start, which says August 17th. The HP Printer that was supposedly holding up the order has already arrived at home today, along with the £65 AppStore card.

That shipped overnight from Leicester with UPS, so there is still some hope it may come for the weekend...
