So where is my 18 core mini?
Tell me I don't have to saw the display off one of these iMac Pros, and stuff the goodies into my 2005 mini chassis?
Id's hate to lose the System 9 and PowerPC options.

not sure why people think this is expensive. please list similar parts on the pc side and then add in a 5k monitor. if that comes well under $5k, then I can see the argument that the iMac pro is expensive compared to similar spec'ed pc. this is not a computer you buy to browse the web or post to fb. this is for heavy photo and high quality video editing.

It is expensive simply because all the other build at same price machines 'Can Be Upgraded"!!! Any component can be replaced, customized or otherwise swapped out, easily and quickly. This is in addition to the extortionist prices Apple charges for their memory. If Apple would cut in half their pricing for a memory upgrade and allow for some type of access to upgrade components (not even the memory, as on the 27" iMac), it would be easier to buy this comparison, but not now, with a locked out machine that will be long in the tooth in less than three years. - Key Word -- Upgradable.
