I have admittedly been waiting on this for a while, my 13" 2.6ghz core i5 with integrated graphics, 8gig of ram and 120gig SSD have been waiting to be upgraded for quite a while. I was going to build a new editing workstation (4k video) but I simply travel too much now and must remain mobile. I'll be pulling the trigger at the end of January if:

The Keyboard is fixed
The performance is improved
It has actual ports that people use (I can bend on this)
The battery life remains stellar
I don't have to offer organs to own one

My 2018 MacBook Pro TouchBar died again this weekend. Went completely blank. No escape key, nothing. Killing the Touch Bar agent and control strip did nothing. Had to reboot to get it back. It's going on 4 years with this damn thing and we're still dealing with this awesomsauce.

Mine does this pretty often too. Sometimes the touchbar itself seems to restart (after maybe an hour or so of being completely blank you can see it come back to life)

Ehh.. your 2018 MBP has been having problems for 4 years? Come again ?

My $5K are ready.

Booya! Yes! Always great to get the latest, and the last 2 MacBook Pro's I haven't liked as much.

I sure wish they didn't remove all those ports and the SD slot, but yeah I know it's been discussed.

As for the keyboard, I still have a good as new unit with skipping keys - I know that Apple does a free repair service recall thing, but I can't afford the risk of messing up my machines, so I just stack the old machines and buy new one's as they become available.

I hope to clear off the old machines eventually, but I am lagging on getting the NOISY and SKIPPING KEYS keyboards from a while back fixed. I hope Apple realizes that their most loyal customers put up with a lot of crap with these bad machines over the last few years.

Please let's find out that the new MacBook Pro is better! Hoping!

I’m assuming that if Apple does not announce this product, that it will be their last Intel release before transitioning to ARM at WWDC.

A lack of announcement might imply a last final product for professionals who need X86 software.

Buying a new MBP today and if anything gets updated I can return it :D

No needing the 16 inch with superpowers because I outsource the heaviest tasks. For editors on the go this is a purchase today and find out tomorrow decision (if it was possible)

Many don't understand that time is money in the creative world and videos take A LOT of time to process.
