We have the images from Catalina 10.15.1. Those are real.
I mean if you call this a leak then sure. I don't see much of a difference or even if this is from apple. Where are the actual hardware leaks?

I'd say the difference in bezels/screen size is obvious... and yes, this is from Apple since I also found it on my computer as part of system files.

Where are the actual hardware leaks?

When did we ever get any hardware leaks for Mac laptops?

Well, Im not sure if two leaks are 100% official cause they can change the plan. The first leak is gone from macOS Catalina without any reasons and the second leak is the only one that we can check now.

Consider as a separate MBP series with XDR type monitor? Well, then it makes sense despite of minimum design changes.

Consider as a whole new laptop which replaces 15 inches? Then, we cant expect it till next WWDC with a proper event announcement.

Oh yeah, there is not hardware leaks related to 16-inch MBP so idk if it's even real. Are they any leaks with hardware parts for 16 inch MBP??

Could also just be a placeholder, to be replaced later at the appropriate time.

Analysts were mentioning shipments of specific LCD panels that were to be used in a 16" MacBook Pro. Don't know whether it sounds as a leak to you. Not even sure what kind of "leaks" you would expect.

Yeah I don't see that being the 16 MBP, that is just some conference attendee.

So whats interesting to me in the photos is that they guy sitting beside the presenter has a MBP with a glowing Apple logo. So either we believe this presenter's assistant/co-presenter has a several years old MBP.... or.....

Shipments to Apple, they could be doing some heavy production to hit the market in January/February for all we know..

My theory is that they were gonna release it but something happened? Some hint at keyboard problems, maybe they went with a last minute CPU or GPU configuration? (We did get those Navi lines on the latest Beta)

And again all this info regarding shipments are very inclusive... The only thing we can take for sure is the data from the Beta builds and Kuo (due to him being reliable for years)

or its 2015 MBP, might be using that SD card slot....or HDMI, he might not be a fan of the dongle life.

I hope it returns.

Yeah but this is kind of my point. I have a hard time believing Apple who like to stage manage everything to small detail are gonna let a presenter show off new software using a four year old mbp in their own campus.

Very true. you would expect the team to have a maxed out ones, and make a "mistake" during the presentation to show the 4tb of storage.

Probably not an Apple presenter there, looks like they are in a conference room of the hotel, that picture wasn't from Apple Campus.

That seems to be correct if you go to the Post Lab Twitter Account: https://twitter.com/PostLab_app

Then you can see a bunch a photos from their conference, which is seems to be at the hotel.

I think this unfortunately means that is not the 16 inch macbook pro... Unless he got one like calvin got the Mac Pro..... which seems unlikely

Edit: The photos are posted around 10 AM... Definitely at the Hotel

Mentioning doesn't mean a leak. Do you even have proof?

I am really interested to see this. I'm not a buyer on something as high end as the 16" model but will be interested to see how those design elements filter down into a smaller Pro. I imagine this will play out like the first retina MacBooks.

Guess things are starting to come together?
I reckon they are aiming to maximize sales for Black Friday. So they let the hype build until maybe a week before Black Friday then let details out to drive a feeding frenzy for the sales event itself.

If 16-inch MacBook Pro does start at $2,999 instead of $2,399, how do you think Apple will spin it?

Judging by macOS Catalina leaks, it certainly looks a lot closer to spec bump than a redesign.

Beyond keyboard redesign and larger screen, I am hoping for some combinations of:
  • Base configuration with 8-core i9: Intel started shipping 10th gen mobile CPUs, but i7 6-core at the highest end. Apple probably wants to avoid offering both 10th gen 6-core (which adds Wi-Fi 6 and USB 4) and 9th gen 8-core options. Apple could offer 9th 6-core and 8-core, but given $600 price increase, I am betting 8-core as the base.
  • More than 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports: I don't think Apple will regress with USB-A and/or HDMI (both will require at least a slight redesign), but perhaps 6 Thunderbolt 3 ports?
  • XDR Display: I don't expect full Pro Display XDR-level panel, but bump in higher peak brightness for HDR and 10-bit would go a long way to justify price increase.

The Vega Pro 20 version is $3,149.00, so a $2999 with full Navi 14 and HBM2 VRAM would be a "good" deal in comparison.

Really? there has been plenty of leaks of iPhones every year. Computers there hasn't been much since leaks of the current thinner shell over 4 years ago.
What we have for leaks for the new 16" besides some faked images that where well fake? We just have speculation with no actual leaks....
So what has really been shown as far as leaks? ill wait while you research...
You're wrong. And uninformed. Not my problem.

highly doubt it. ESPECIALLY if its a soft release with no event for it. I see them dropping the 15" if the only update is slightly larger screen. Still don't see a new keyboard in these things as of yet. A major release sure but as of now the 2019 keyboards that where updated in may will be in this new machine IF its launched this year.
I don't know what to tell you. If you're just guessing then I have no interest in discussing it with you. If you've been paying attention to everything Apple has done for the last several years, and are aware of the difference between leaks and rumors, you'd know pretty well exactly what is happening.

Why would they do a whole press private briefing thing JUST for the Mac Pro since it was already announced.?

New 16” will hopefully have less bezels and be same size case as the old 15” model!
