For me i think the weight is at its limit. I feel the additional weight everywhere. In the pocket, one handed, laying on the couch, etc. Love the phone but it needs to do some cardio.
Now you're getting to the point where the phone feels heavy. Doesn't the wind blow you away? Eat more porridge, you will have the strength to hold the phone in your hand on the couch )))) At the very least, attach wheels to the phone, like in Mac Pro and roll it behind you.

It just sucks that they made both the regular Pro and Pro Max larger and heavier again this year, after celebrating the size and lightness of the 15 Pro last year. It‘s just a few grams and millimeters, but after using the 16 Pro for a few days and then returning to the 15 Pro, you really feel it. I am always going caseless mind you.

I was not ready to pay a lot of money for a new phone that feels worse in the hand than the previous one, especially as all other upgrades are so minimal. Holding this thing in the hand is like 50 % of the experience lol.

I have an 84 year old cousin who went from a 13pm to a 16pm with a UAG monarch pro case… said it was lighter and much easier for her to use.

I went from a 15pm to a 16pm. I think it’s actually lighter, but weight distribution was better on the 15pm so it feels heavier than it is.

Edited to add. It’s .5 ounces heavier with the same UAG case just for different models .

If Apple keeps this tic-toc cycle up and the next generation is even less bezels and smaller devices again then I am happy and can upgrade from my 15 to the 17, but I am afraid they will continue to pursue larger and larger devices again. The 15 Pro was such a tease then lol. Oh well the 15 Pro is amazing and I can use it for many years until Apple decides to go smaller again someday, if even just for one generation.

I am a huge fan of how the iPhone X and iPhone 15 Pro feel in the hand, it‘s the maximum width I can tolerate it seems.

Upgraded from a 12 Mini and yeah, it's HEAVY. I'm definitely keeping it but I think it's going to change my phone habits. (Probably for the best)
I went from a 12 Mini to the 16 Pro, which feels like a brick to me. Can't imaging how the 16 Pro Max would feel!

I am hoping adding a leather case will make it sit in my hand nicer.

Yeah, I returned mine and I’m coming from a 15 Pro Max. It just went past the limit of comfort for me. Don’t feel like doing another year of finger gymnastics.

After trying all phones, I downsized to a 16 Pro and it feels great in the hand. And good battery, which was my main concern.

I forgot the comfort of texting one-handed. Feels so light and premium at the same time.

The 15PM was at my limit and the first time I made it through a cycle with a Max. The 16PM just feels a bit *too much* of everything, so I downsized to the regular Pro for the camera control and better wide angle sensor (which I use a lot).

I hope in the long run the camera upgrades are worth it because I prefer reading and typing on the 15PM.

Strange, for me 16PM feels more balanced and I have smaller hands. And oddly it hasn’t dragged my shorts down like 15pm did. So go figure. I feel like i can one hand it better too.

And, wouldn't you know it, a Pro Max but much thinner, iPhone Air, is rumored to get announced next year.

The heft of the 16 PM is a blessing in disguise as your incentive to get an iPhone 17 Air will be that much stronger.

No worries.

Personally, unless it does everything the flag ship best phones do, it doesn’t incentivize me to do that.

The extra weight is pretty small and almost entirely the larger battery. When Apple makes things thin and light, people complain about battery. When they increase battery capacity? People complain about thin and light. Thank god they don’t do focus groups for hardware design.
