As a monk you should know🤣🤣
Let’s go. Who is in for some monk training to strengthen those wrists, fingers and arm for Pro max iPhones and more.

That’s why I kept my 15 pro Max. That’s my limit. Not buying anything heavier than that.

I saw Flossy Carter weighed his 15 Pro Max @ 233 grams and his 16 Pro Max @ 227 grams and repeated it several times. Has anyone else weighed these phones back to back?

Yeah, I returned mine and I’m coming from a 15 Pro Max. It just went past the limit of comfort for me. Don’t feel like doing another year of finger gymnastics.

After trying all phones, I downsized to a 16 Pro and it feels great in the hand. And good battery, which was my main concern.

I forgot the comfort of texting one-handed. Feels so light and premium at the same time.
It’s odd how such a small amount of weight actually feels so much heavier.

The lift weight comments are hilarious. Just wondering what gym has hand weight machines or stations? 😒
Kidding aside hang for a min or two from a bar or rings if you want more challenge. It will build grip and strength better than most machines. Just let the gravity do its job.

The 16 PM is heavier than the 15 PM but it will feel lighter/better weight balance to some. If you consider the density (weight/volume) the 16 PM has less density but it’s very close.

I downsized from the 15 PM to the 16 Pro because I felt the 15 PM was my limit. Everyone will tell you to go workout at the gym. But these devices are much heavier than they need to be. YouTube reviewers and a lot of people think that heavier devices = premium. It’ll be interesting to see what they say if Apple makes the devices lighter.

I’m also curious if in the future people will have RSI or carpal tunnel from these phones.

If you want to keep using the Pro Max, get a pop socket, they help a lot.

Now you're getting to the point where the phone feels heavy. Doesn't the wind blow you away? Eat more porridge, you will have the strength to hold the phone in your hand on the couch )))) At the very least, attach wheels to the phone, like in Mac Pro and roll it behind you.
A buddy of mine is a 6'4" former college football player who regularly lifts weights, but he doesn't like to carry phones that feel like glass bricks in his pocket, and prefers the non-pro iPhone.
So it's not about strength or your false machismo.

Yo not another weight thread! Lmaoooooo

Here are some facts for all the people who are profesionally “weight feelers”.

Weight table:
Xsm - 208
11pm - 226
12pm - 228
13pm - 240
14pm - 240
15pm - 221
16pm - 227

You have more than 5 generations of heavier phones, don’t come here and complain about the weight of the 16pm. Or get the smaller pro, seriously you are all the worse, next thing you know you will complain about battery life even tho iPhones are top 5 performants in their class.

Oh weight, I know why Apple refuses to listen to you all, you will complain about how heavy it is in the end too…

Those are Apple's published specs

But I'd like to hear an explanation for 10:29 into the video:

I would like to see Apple just stop making regular and pro devices. Just make the same device with different cases. Make one with aluminum and one with stainless steel or titanium. That way we can choose whether we want the lighter or heavier device.

The regular models are made with aluminum and don’t have weight or battery issues. So being lighter doesn’t necessary mean they will have worse battery life.

I had the 13 PM which is 240 grams and went to the 15 pro max immediately because it is 221 grams..I'm not upgrading to something heavier even if it is only 6 grams....so thanks for proving our point :)

From someone who went from an ordinary iPhone 12 to a 16 Pro Max, it has certainly put on a considerable weight. I'll need to work on my upper body strength. 🤣

I cannot tell the difference in the weight between the 15 Pro Max and 16 Pro Max in my hand. The same goes for the size. Put them next to each other and the 16 Pro Max is slightly taller than the 15 Pro Max and very slightly wider. But once a case is on them, you really cannot feel or tell the difference. Certainly not enough to consider the 15 Pro Max significantly smaller and lighter than a 16 Pro Max and thus not upgrade. Lack of significant functional differences is a valid reason, but using the weight and size as a reason does not seem rational, at least to me.

Having said all of this, both the 15 Pro Max and 16 Pro Max are way too heavy and I would agree that any trend to increase weight, however small is unwelcome. Apple need to put their thinking caps on and look at a design that is lighter, thinner and has a longer batter life. A significant challenge I know, but this general increase in weight is not welcome. Especially as when they fall they are even more likely to destroy themselves.....

Coming from the 12 pro max to the 16 pro max I definitely noticed a difference in weight but it doesn't matter to me since this 16 is many times better than the 12 in every way (except the weight).

How would you notice a difference in weight? There’s only 1 gram difference between the devices.

I would like to add something here. My observation is that the cases makes more difference than weight difference of the phones. Here is some measurements I took:

1. 11 Pro Max in Apple folio case: weight 300 grams.
2. 15 Pro Max in Torras case: weight 270 grams.
3. 16 Pro Max in Apple silicon case: weight 262 grams.

As you can see it is the cases that are making a difference here and for me the phone in the case of my choice makes the 16 Pro Max the lightest of the three. BTW the 11 Pro Max does feel somewhat heavier.
