LOL no. They can pry my perpetually-licensed 1Password 7 from my cold dead hands (or until macOS updates break it).
And 1p is better? That's the fun of security, it starts getting overly secure.Risky considering Apple’s really poor account recovery should you get locked out.
Bitwarden has prices?! 🙂Bitwarden is also raising their prices.
Come on. You mean you dont need help coming up with a name for yahoo.com? lol- gave us “AI-powered item naming” (????)
…or Keeper. I’m considering rolling this out at my company because 1Password has no strategic cybersecurity vision and Keeper offers a free family plan to every licensed user. Pretty nice perk.I live and die by 1Password (and now get it free for a family at work) but my parents are Apple Passwords users. And although I can't ever see myself leaving the 1Password ecosystem, but I think this is going to push a lot of folks to Apple Passwords and Bit Warden.
As with anything it is a weighing up what works best for you. Each have to decide that themself. Personally I dont like to put all my eggs in one basket. And 1p is better? That's the fun of security, it starts getting overly secure.
If you install iCloud for Windows, you can view and manage your iCloud passwords on your PC. You can also have passwords autofilled in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.I get wanting a solution for people who use Windows computers, but for that price, just look up the password on your phone and type it on your PC.
Initially thought it said "prices will be going up to $12 per year."1Password said subscription prices will be going up $12 per year.
and realized it's going up by $12 per year. The individual plan will be $47.88, up from $35.88, while the family plan will be $71.88, up from $59.88. Pricing per month for the individual plan works out to $3.99 (up from $2.99), while the family plan will be $5.99 per month (up from $4.99).
i use apple passwords and my windows computer together, no problem. there’s an edge icloud password extension that works great.I can’t imagine paying $4/month for something Apple offers for free. I get wanting a solution for people who use Windows computers, but for that price, just look up the password on your phone and type it on your PC.
Apple Wallet —> Autofill1. Storing credit card info securely, in a way that I can easily access for reference. What's the best way to do this without 1Password, encrypted/locked Notes?
Yep, just learned my Mom is perma-banned from iCloud this weekend. So that was fun.Risky considering Apple’s really poor account recovery should you get locked out.
See if you can do ASCII images 🤣I ditched them when they went subscription. Still using the single purchase version, but slowly getting everything in Passwords. Just wish Passwords would support file attachments. At least images.
I have been with them since day one and have not found anything better, especially since I use multiple operating systems, so I am staying on board despite the price change. For me, 1Password is like the Dropbox of password managers and handles everything I store there quite well. 🤷♂️

I say this as a user of KeePassXC - it's not a very good substitute for 1Password 6/7.Use KeePass(XC).
