I mean, their F1 sponsorship doesn't pay itself. (Yes, I know they have already raised a lot of money and they eventually planning an IPO but when I read about the F1 deal I knew price hikes were coming...)Initially thought it said "prices will be going up to $12 per year."
Then I saw this
and realized it's going up by $12 per year.
That makes the individual plan price a 33.44% increase. Yikes!
On my Mac? I don't always have my iPhone with me, and the "Wallet & Apple Pay" section of the "System Settings" on the Mac doesn't seem to support showing me the complete card info. You can use the Wallet app for that now
The old Keychain Access had a section for Secure Notes. Try looking for it in the new Passwords app?Switched 99% of my usage to Apple Passwords, but I still use 1Password for:
1. Storing credit card info securely, in a way that I can easily access for reference. What's the best way to do this without 1Password, encrypted/locked Notes?
2. Sharing passwords as a one-off, rather than creating a "Shared Group" in Passwords. Any good alternative here?

I actually debated that one. Never tested to see how many characters the "notes" field allows. 🧐See if you can do ASCII images 🤣
Dashlane can do these things.Switched 99% of my usage to Apple Passwords, but I still use 1Password for:

That is the truth! My daughter learned the hard way.Risky considering Apple’s really poor account recovery should you get locked out.
Apple wallet promotes Apple pay. With wallet you can’t update the card due to receiving a new card. Won’t show you the CVV number and worse yet every several months the Apple store asks you to reenter it. Doesn’t support zipcode that many websites now require when paying by card. Finally only allows autofill of your default card on websites. You can use the Wallet app for that now
Same! Tried 1Password once upon a time but Apple Passwords works great and rarely have to think about it.Switched to Apple Passwords and never looked back.
If you install iCloud for Windows, you can view and manage your iCloud passwords on your PC. You can also have passwords autofilled in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.
This is what my mom does. I've configured her Edge browser to only use iCloud as the password manager.
Netflix probably has to spend 100x whatever 1password does per plan on bandwidth and compute. Even if they priced individual plans at $1/mo 1password's infra margins should be fantastic. They haven't raised the price since the subscription was launched, I think in 2016, so 10 years ago. My family plan is going up $1 a month. My parents and in-laws can use it easily, and I'll probably stay.
Netflix was $9.99 a month back in 2016 and is now $17 a month. They also increased their price 6 times since 2016.
Me too. Thought I might have missed 1PW, but I haven't. Certainly don't see any point in having yet another subscription for an app that I can do 99 percent of the stuff I can do with the included Passwords app for free.Switched to Apple Passwords and never looked back.
