do you call an Ipod nano an Inano? of course not
I call it a Nano. Is that okay with you?

Um..I don't see what your problem is, but here's my best answer.
Things like the name "itouch" usually don't have a definitive reason for their existence. As an example, the word "kleenex." People frequently use this word to mean any sort of facial tissue, even though it really is only one brand.
Alternatively, it could have something to do with it's relative newness. When the Ipod Nano first came out, it was a rather unique name. If you said: "Hey, I just got that new nano thing!" People knew what you were talking about. But "touch" is a more ubiquitous word. Not everyone knows about it yet.
Hope that helped.
i don't know , I'm just giving you s**t for no real reason , sorry

my god grow up! sometimes i think half the people on here are 5 years old. What the hell else would he mean by iTouch?
why are some of you telling him/her to keep the extra one? because it won't be discovered? because s/he won't be rewarded if s/he returns it? these are irrelevant considerations. it doesn't belong to him/her and should be returned.
I'd call up apple because I'd be worried about being charged for it...
Once I called to get support from my iMac and on the phone they were like "OK, we see here you have apple care" and I'm like what?!??! I never bought no applecare! And then she's like are you sure? And I'm like yeah, I'm positive. And then she realized the person who activated it typed in the SN for my computer by accident (probably messed up one number or something) - so the person who paid for apple care never actually got it. They fixed it though.
I'd call them, and they'll probably reward you because of your honestly. Especially if you have to go through the trouble of sending it back. Even if they reward you, they're still up.
Oh and BTW it's "iPod touch" and not "iTouch or ITouch" lol.
and ipod touch. it's called an abbreviation.
And yeah, good side v. bad side. I'm going to send it back, but i'm kind of hoping that they'll give me some sort of bonus for honesty![]()
I think legally you can't ever be billed for erroneously shipped items...remember hearing about that once. So I doubt you'd ever be charged for it, though it might be requested back.
But I can't see any ethical justification for keeping the extra iPod. I think it's on par with keeping an iPod left in a rental car or a wallet you find on the street. You may not have set out to steal, but you're taking something that clearly belongs to someone else (even if you don't know to whom).
And I think getting a reward is similarly on par to rewards for returning a found item. You might, and it'd be a nice gesture, but it's certainly not required (and hopefully not your only motivation).
Although if I knew the guy that left it in the cab was a freaking multi-Billionaire, I wouldn't have many qualms about keeping it.Listen, if you return it to apple, no one will care or notice, they will sell it as a refurb and thats it, end of story. Now, keeping it and selling it for profit would be wrong. I would give it to someone that otherwise cannot afford it and whom you KNOW would appreciate it. Consider it a 4 leaf clover. You will get good karma, and nobody will be getting hurt, not even apple really, lets be real.

Hmm, I don't think I buy the argument that the wealth of the individual or company it belongs to changes the moral argument. And I'm not so sure about this apparent "rob from the rich and give to the poor" Robin Hood approach of paying it forward either. Just because it proportionately "hurts" Apple less than it would an individual suffering the cost of $400 doesn't make it any less impactful in absolute terms, does it?
I wouldn't count on any "bonus" They're a multi-billion dollar corporation. The gain to you is much much higher than their lost to them. It would be like an average person losing a dollar (its no big deal)..Just keep it..or give it to someone as a gift.and ipod touch. it's called an abbreviation.
