So why do they need that guy to be taking pictures in the first place then, it must give them some kind of edge to go against warnings from the NFL in the past.
They said that the time it would take to turn around the pictures would not help them in the game but was used for games down the road.
The rule does not say that you can not get an edge against another team just that you can't use a recording device to do it, that is the rule the pats broke.
No argument from here that they violated the league's policy on recording on the sidelines.Still a big unknown as to why,esp given it was against the Jets. My problem is with all the yahoos and talking heads that are saying it gave them and edge on Sunday.Not one has mentioned the fact that the Jets were outcoached and outplayed.
Hopefully the league passes the rule allowing headphones in helmets of the defense. That'll eliminate hand signals..
There's usually two or three signals coming in from the sidelines for each play. How you can identify the live signal,match it up with the corresponding coverage/alignment/blitz,get it upstairs,call a new offensive play with players in the 30-38 seconds before the radio cuts out,is beyond me...
