Pats: 35
Colts: 24

Does anyone honestly think the Colts' D will have any chance at stopping Tom Brady? The Patriots have shredded many a better defense and will do so come Sunday.

The Pats put up 34 on them in January WITHOUT Moss,Welker,Stallworth and Maroney was injured. Scoring against the Colts hasn't been their problem. The Pats have improved defensively. Thomas was brought in to neutralize what beat the Pats in the second half..Dallas Clark across the middle downfield..Brady is playing out of his mind right now.Now he has the top flight receiving corps that he's lacked his whole career....

I think a big part of the game plan for both teams is to keep the opposing O off the field as much as possible. Both teams have lots of talented players, but everyone knows the key to winning is limiting the effectiveness of Brady and Manning and the best way to do that is to keep them on the sideline.

My only prediction for Sunday's game: It won't be cold, rain or snow inside the RCA Dome; watch out, turnovers.

Add: Finding good comparative, informed articles on teh game has been difficult. Like this one.
"Has Been Named..."
Manning: MVP, twice - Brady: Esquire's Best Dressed

Now we get to see how durable Maroney is:

Morris out for season

The Patriots have just announced that running back Sammy Morris will miss the rest of the season with a chest injury. Here’s the release that was just issued by the team:

The New England Patriots placed veteran running back Sammy Morris on the reserve/injured list today. Morris will miss the remainder of the 2007 season with a chest injury.

That injury must have been a helluva lot worse than it looked..

And Harrison has his own problems..Could be much worse for him tho:
INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison has been told his knee pain is likely to persist through the remainder of the season and perhaps for the rest of his career, a source said Friday.

Specialists who have examined Harrison do not view surgery as a viable option because there is no guarantee of success and would require six months of rehabilitation.

well, i think Maroney is pretty good. we'll see in a couple of days!

Good has never been the issue with Maroney. His durability has been..Seems like he's already started to change his running style, which would go a long way in the durability area...Maroney and Faulk are more than capable of giving the Pats what they need in the RB dept....

It's weird. Maroney was never injured at Minnesota. Hopefully he can stay healthy now.

I wonder if we could see the Patriots signing Corey Dillon. They released him because he said he wanted to get a starting job, but then no teams offered it to him. Earlier this year the Bucs and another team called him, but he said no (probably because he didnt want to go in with a bunch of new guys and learn a new system). But he could come right back in to the Pats system and he would already know everything and everyone. I guess we'll see.

Well that's been Maroney's problem during his brief pro career..He was even injured for the AFCCG in January..It's all on him now.Now we can see what he's made of,literally..
In regard to Dillon...The reason he left was that he wasn't going to be the feature back and wouldn't have the bulk of the carries. He wasn't all that thrilled with his role here last year, and his on the field faces showed it. He hasn't played in the pros since last season.I can't see how he can expect to just come back and play at an NFL level.Working out is one thing, game shape is another..I'm sure the Pats will have him in during the bye week as well as whatever else is out there for RB's..

Yeah I know it's not definite about Dillon, but it's a possibility. He'd get a shot at another ring which would probably be motivation for him to come back. And if Maroney did end up getting hurt, he would be the featured back again.

Antonio Cromardi (however its spelled) on San Diego just returned a field goal 109.8 yards for a touchdown as time expired in the first half. Longest play in NFL history.

A ring and $$$ are great motivators..My only question is Dillon's health/condition He wasn't in the greatest of shape when he left here.A couple/three runs and he had his hand up looking to come out..All depends on what's left in the tank..

Looks like our first rounder via the 49ers gets higher and higher each week.

Adrian Peterson is a stud.Talk about the real deal.. Can somebody tell me again what it was the Chargers saw in Rivers??

Woo hoo! Bills about to get back to .500. Marshawn Lynch finally really showing off his legs (and his arm), and the defense has held the Bengals to 28 yards rushing on 17 attempts. And Losman's actually playing well too...what a refreshing change!

great, we're going to have to hear about the pats being the best team ever by espn. is there something in boston's water supply giving the media boston love all the time? because i thought the pats played dirty and they don't have alot of class...

Whaaaaaaaa? (Moe Sizlac voice)

The refs gave like five bad calls to the Colts and the Pats still won. How in the world did they play dirty? If you ask me, if it weren't for the refs, that game wouldn't have even been close.
