Please  Here we go.. Pats win a hard fought game, and the haters, keyboard yahoos and media tools just have to find something to bitch about.
Why does Bellichick act like that?

Simple, it's because he can.

My question is why is it an issue this season? He's been the same way for years - very neutral in press conferences, leading his staff and players by example (one game at a time, no awards for mid-season, etc.)
Perhaps they should have had a prayer meeting and a hug at midfield, what does anyone expect?? Dungy has been deified in the press and comes across as a sanctimonious soul, who had a terrific personal tragedy.. all the while he works with one of the biggest snakes in the NFL Polian.. BB knows what a hyporcrite he is, and Dungy should have kept his mouth shut during spygate.. Dungy opened his mouth and BB did his talking on the field.. for BB to have done anything different would have belied his personna and his deep anger for taking the fall for many who have done the same and similar things.

Pats as the "new" Raiders of the NFL?:rolleyes:When they start clothes lining people, putting people out of the game, maliciously chop blocking etc, then they'll get that title...

Keep on hating people....

why make a statement like that? b/c of the video tape thing? but he's still winning afterwards.

That was the comparison that Dungy made when that all came down in September. He made those comments BEFORE Gooddell even ruled on the matter. The sad part in all this,is that Pats scored 14 points in less than 4 minutes, came back (the Colts subsequently collapsed and choked) and it's barely mentioned by all the haters, keyboard yahoos, media frauds/tools etc. If it was the Colts that came back and did that??All you'd be hearing is non stop ball washing of Saint Dungy,Manning and the Colts..The double standard is pathetic..

well i think it's ridiculous, considering steriods (bonds) would help someone in the NFL as well. now if you made that comment on Rodney Harrison, at least you'd have a leg to stand on. (not a good one though)

it's just a stupid comment in my mind.

and yes, the double standard is pathetic.....

No hate here. I like the Pat's and the Colts. After sleeping on it I have a different perspective on the fact that Brady didn't approach Manning (correct me if I'm wrong - but I didn't see it). Maybe Tom wants to take the attention off of himself and leave the focus on the team. Just a thought.

The only two blatantly bad calls there were was the PI on Hobbs when he was covering Wayne and the Offensive PI on Moss. On the Hobbs play, he played that right out of the book.

Those were the only 2 blatantly bad calls. However, the first PI call was highly questionable.

And more importantly, there were 2 blatantly bad non-calls. The 3rd down pass to Faulk where a defender had him fully wrapped up before the ball got there and the pass to Moss in the end zone where the defender was holding his hand. Two absolutely crystal clear holding/defensive PI calls, in key situations, that were not made.

That makes 4 outrageously bad calls/non-calls and at least one more big one that went against the Pats and is almost never called. Worst officiating since the zebras tried to give the playoff game to the Colts over the Steelers 2 years ago.

And note that those 4 calls/non-calls were on: a bomb to Wayne, 2 potential TD passes to Moss, and a critical 3rd down conversion play. Four calls blown that badly in spots as important as that? It's enough to make you paranoid.

What a nail biter of a game. My thoughts:

The Colts D look phenomenal. As always, Dwight Freeny is a force to be reckoned with, particularly when he's playing the Pats.

Grats to Addai on a stellar performance. Boo on the Pats for some really ****** tackling the first 3 quarters.

I think this game might have gone differently if the Colts had Marvin Harrison playing.

That was one of the worst officiated games I have ever witnessed.

Randy Moss is still amazing.

It's great to be a Pats fan.

So what? How is that different than any boss most of us have ever had? Seriously?
And so what if he has disdain for the media? So do most Republicans.
And as far as I remember, Bill & Tony looked each other in the eye right at the beginning of the shake and then Belichick moved on. You want him to be all chummy with the coach that he's likely going to have to play in the AFC Championship?
And finally.. A comparison to Barry Bonds? I think before people should indict Barry Bonds for juicing, they should indict MLB for not doing a ****ing thing about it.

The Colts D look phenomenal.

They only played three quarters and couldn't hang with the Patriots' wide receivers. That last long reception by Moss was pathetic. It looked to me like Moss had to stop and wait for the ball and the Colts fell all over themselves and let him catch it.

They kept showing Manning sitting on the bench and his facial expressions looked like he was just waiting for that stuff to happen.

Belichick is an *******. Not shaking a person's hand and looking them in the eye? Going for it on 4th down? Treating the news media like they are swine?

Belichick is the Barry Bonds of the NFL.

Do you know Belichick personally? He looked Dungy in the eye at the beginning of the hand shake. Do you want him to stand there for five minutes and shake his hand for the whole time?

I don't see the big deal with going for it on 4th down...

The media is a bunch of scumbags anyways. And since when is it a requirement to be open with the media. He chooses not to talk about everything which is his right, and when the media keeps pushing him about it he gets aggravated. That's the media being a bunch of *******s, not him.

Point out one play to me where the "pats played dirty".

still waiting furcal...

Because he treats people like dogs.

Where's your proof of that? He treats all of his players really well. All of the players on the team love him. Players want to go to New England (Moss, Thomas, Stallworth).

They played hard for pretty much the whole game, but when you're going up against the top offense in the league they're bound to make some plays. Same thing with the Colts O against the Pats D. They made more plays in the first half and the Pats D stepped up late in the game and came up with some crucial 3rd down stops.

Brady threw two INT's
Pats got penalized for 146 yards (thanks largely to the PI calls)
Colts led for over 55 mins
Adai rushed/received for over 220 yards
Colts had to settle for two FG's instead of 7 on each
Pats had 59 yards passing in the first half
Pat's tackling was atrocious, esp on the Adai TD
On the road,in the RCA Dome..

All of the above and the Pats still won the friggin game coming from behind scoring 14 points in under 4 minutes, and all people can go on about today is the personna of their head coach...Gimme a break people.

And yeah,Brady and Manning caught up after the game;

Don't forget very early in the game, where the pass to morehead (i think) was called in bounds when clearly he was out of bounds and we had to waste a challenge on it...it was absolutely ridiculous, the replay showed two refs with clear vantage points and both got the call wrong...it only got worse as described above.

Let's forget about the Pats and Colts, the 109yd missed FG return for a TD, Peterson's 296 yd rushing record, Ocho Cinco being carted off the field, blah, blah, blah... And let's start focusing on Sunday's real story...

Suisham's 5 field goals (including the 46 yd in OT for the win) and the Redskins victory. Please, discuss...

It seems to me that everytime I get a closeup on Campbell's face.. he looks confused. IMO, the QB problems that have plagued the skins for the last few years are going to continue.

Amazing, indeed. How did he make this one-handed catch look so easy?

Glue-coated gloves.

You know, I still have a tough time believing:
1) Moss is a Pat
2) that he's not jabbering like the Randy of old
3) that he's willing to go over the middle and make plays

Particularly #3. He's taken some real shots so far, and yet, there he is.. slant over the middle. Willing to take the punishment, but still making the play. IMO, the Randy of old.. he'd never do that.

The ironic thing is that Belicheck is one the quietest, most level-headed, and humblest coaches in the league. He doesn't talk smack or let any of his players talk smack, yet somehow he is a dick??? Some of you people have to get your jealousy in check.

Two questions which put me to sleep: (It's a best team in the NFL and worst team in the NFL scenario)
(1) Will the Pats now run the table on the season?
(2) If the Dolphins played the Rams this year (which they don't), who would win?

Agreed. We had a "nice guy" coach,a real people person in Pete Carroll..No thank you...At least Bellichik doesn't rip into the reporters like Parcells used to.I remember some of his post game conferences here,lol..Vintage...Our draft pick via the 49ers is looking better each week.

I keep watching the replays of Adrian Peterson. That kid is unbelievable..

Hopefully we'll have a good game tonight..

Lions kicked the crap out of the Broncos 44-7..They even scored a TD with 5:15 left..Where's the outrage :p
