Face it the Pats are vulnerable.

What has an almost loss by NE accomplished?

So here's my analysis of this game. There's 2 possibilities:

1. Something has happened and the Pats are going to play **** for the rest of the regular season.
2. This was the game that they were supposed to lose. The 85 Bears lost that game against the Dolphins. The 98 Broncos lost when they were 14-0. The Colts lost against the Chargers in 2005. This was the game that was supposed to end their shot at a perfect season, but they pulled it out.

We shall see what happens next week. 4:15 @ Gillette on CBS.

That until they lose you can hate all you want, hold your "Hope the Pats lose vigils",take out the Brady voodoo dolls etc......Next three games at home are a plus...
I would wet myself if the only Dolphins win is in NE.:D

They were beat if not for some stupid penalties.

Oh shut the **** up. Go watch the tape. Ben Watson was held the whole way he was running down the hash mark. ESPN just showed it and Steve Young and Emmitt Smith both agreed.

If you said "They were beat if not for a stupid time out call by the Ravens", I'd give you some credit. Although Brady just said in his postgame interview "I heard the whistle and stopped. I would have got it if I didn't stop. :p"

Not to mention Samuel getting absolutely mugged and tackled on that Hail Mary...

Chill, dude. The Pats won. All is good until next week. :)

(2) We've witnessed one of the worst, ill called timeouts in NFL history.
And I was afraid the Gibbs time out was gonna be talked about all week.

I do have to say though that, in a selfish way, I'm glad that the Ravens lost. Not because I'm a huge Pats fan, but because a Pats loss would've completely over shadowed a more important event today (no offense Pats fans).

Thousands filled a university arena for Sean Taylor's funeral Monday, with his coach praising his "excitement for life" and the NFL commissioner telling mourners the Washington Redskins star "loved football and football loved him back."

The Colts went 13-0 before getting picked off, what's your point.

So did the 1998 Denver Broncos before losing to the 8-8 New York Giants that year... I definitely would not count Miami and the Jets out. When you take the win for granted you end up losing to even the worst of teams.

The 98 Broncos lost when they were 14-0.

Close, they were 13-0 before losing consecutive games to the Giants and Dolphins. Of course they thoroughly trounced the Dolphins (38-3) in the playoffs so the loss meant very little in the grand scheme of things.

I don't necessarily dislike the Pats but I would find it thoroughly amusing if they lost to Miami. Either that or go 18-0 only to face a team more hyped and prepared for the Super Bowl. Although it would be nice to finally stop hearing about the 1972 Dolphins I'm not necessarily sure it will be any better in 20 years when we keep hearing about the 2007 Patriots....

Which got me thinking, my predictions:

Receptions: 101
yards: 1328
TDs: 19

Shootin for the stars!

Getting close.

75 / 1129 / 17

Another nail biter last night. Another time when I rather question the play calling of the Pats. The Pats D looked.. well not so good. Brady seemed to struggle a little bit, as did the O-Line. However, another patented 4th Q comeback.

The Ravens played a phenomenal game. The D was on point, and McGahee was a force to be reckoned with. His post game interview was crappy though. That really opened up the passing game.

Only if they trot out a decrepit Belichick in his patented gray hoodie with no sleeves to drone on and on.

I can't stand Don Shula any more than he can stand the Pats. Between him and Kornholer, I muted the entire game.

Like what? And don't say the holding call on Watson. He wasn't held when the ball got there, but he was held before that. And on the same play Gaffney was absolutely mugged, and that wasn't even called.

they need to get moss out of whatever he's in.

What he's "in" is the grasp of DBs who don't get flagged. Lito Sheppard held Moss the entire game last week - every time he would start to break away Sheppard just grabbed his jersey. The Ravens used the same strategy to a lesser degree last night. There's no receiver in the league who can make plays when the DBs are just allowed to grab jersey whenever they need to in order to make a play.

Oh, I really like Kornheiser. It's Jaws I absolutely can't stand. They really, really need to fire that guy.

no i agree. he gets mugged a lot. and the one time they don't jam him, he outruns the pass  man he's fast, especially for his age.

I think MacNut was referring to the stupid penalties that the Ravens got called on (and actually commited). Timely pass interference and holding calls. Though I'm not sure the double unsportsmanlike really did that much.

Moss gets mugged a lot on a weekly basis. Lito should have sent him flowers and candy after raping him last week. They won't call defensive PI,yet Moss can brush the defender's uniform with the tip of his fingernail and it's a push off..There were several dropped passes last night by Pat's receivers. A couple should have been TD's..
I think pass interference is ruining the NFL in general..Week in and week out you see a team get 30-60 yards for a penalty on a ball that isn't even catchable?? The competiton committee needs to address this in the offseason. They should go to the college rule on interference--it's a spot foul inside of 15 yards, and after that, it's 15 yards from the previous line of scrimmage.
