Anthony who,lol???

My first response is "Who the F**k is this guy and my second response is "Thanks for the bulletin board material"..

Safety Anthony Smith not only thinks the Steelers have a chance to beat the undefeated New England Patriots Sunday, he guarantees it.

"We're going to win," Smith said today after practice. "Yeah, I can guarantee a win."

Nice move dumb ass..Put him up there with Freddie Mitchell

I'm going to try and email him my sig....

Depends what team is winning, some teams I just can't stand and would not give the time of day.

Romo seems like a fun guy and even Owens isn't a "pita" this year. Plus their coach is a puff ball. If the Cowboys were going for a perfect season I think people would ROOT for them to do so!

But some people just rub most of us the wrong way.

Elway was one of the best but he was a prick. Same for Marino. Manning sort of broke through his image last year (of being like Marino and blaming everyone else when a ball was incomplete and praising himself when it was caught)... I think they went 12-0 and people were pulling for them.

Schula is a prick. He's an old curmudgeon and a poor sport. Could you imagine Dickerson celebrating (publicly, at least) when no one beats his record? How about Sayers, Tomlinson or even Marino concerning their records?

It's all about likeability. If your favorite aunt won the lottery you'd be the second happiest person alive, but if the guy down the hall who parks in your space every other day finds a dollar in the parking lot you'd be pissed all week.

It's that simple.

wow, he's an idiot. I assume his coach will rip him a new one for that (and if not, I just lost some respect for Tomlin as a coach).

Anyone actually looked at the Steelers' season so far? 3 games against opponents who are currently over .500 - one against the Browns in week one (blow out), one against the Browns about a month ago (very close) and one against the Seahawks a while ago now (blowout).

Basically, they haven't beaten anyone. Their opponents have been *horrible* as a group, yet they've managed to lose 3 games. I'm just saying.

yeah, but remember this is the NFL, not college. so almost anyone has a chance to win every week.

let's hope they get the ball to Moss this weekend though

So, I am now convinced that the Pat's bizarre play calling and lack of running from Muroney is because they are trying to keep him healthy and fresh for the wintery December stretch where passing gets much harder to do, and they 3 games at home and 1 in The Meadowlands.

maybe. or just saving him for a rainy day :p

I thought New England would win, but I didn't expect them to make it look so easy.....

Ditto the Broncos, who actually looked like a real NFL team for a change.....

GUARANTEE. GUARANTEE. GUARANTEE.

they never learn.

13-0 now. The offense showed back up after a two and a half game hiatus.

Defense stepped up big in the second half, looked like the Patriots defense of the back to back Superbowls, including that huge 4th down goal line stand.

Puts an end to the "Steelers are an elite team in the NFL" talk..They got out coached, out played and torn apart in the second half..Two arguments I'm sick of hearing of should end today:
The " blueprint" talk
AND
The Pats have to run the ball this time of year to win talk....

Looking ahead for the Pats....

Jets
Dolphins
Giants

2 out of 3 should be easy. The Giants could make it interesting.... depending on which Eli Manning shows up.

You do have to run the ball..When you don't have a passing attack ;)

:D

I think it's more "When you don't have a passing attack as good as the Patriots do...."

It's simply amazing what they've been able to do with the state of their running game (which is far from awful, but also not a big time one).

What will the spread be against the Jets? 30? I mean, you know Belichick would go for it on 4th down with 20 seconds to go up by 25... :D
