Anyone else feel like SouthWest Airlines is going to use Joe Gibbs in their next "wanna get away" commercial?

I have to say I hope the Pats go undefeated all the way. A couple of reasons. First, they are a great team, and they seem to play and work the proverbial "right way." Second, I can't stand the Dolphins.

Also, perhaps then the debate over who's better--Peyton or Tom--could stop. Starting a team? Give me Brady any day over Peyton. Or anyone else currently playing, for that matter.....

Very interesting.

I wonder whats up with michigan though.

Tom Brady played for Michigan.

MichiganWolverines.png

From Wikipedia... "He was a backup his first two years, while his teammate and future NFL quarterback Brian Griese led the Wolverines to a national championship in 1997. When he enrolled at Michigan, Brady was seventh on the depth chart and had an intense struggle to get some playing time. At one point, Brady hired a sports psychologist to help him cope with frustration and anxiety and even considered transferring, frustrated by what seemed like a lack of opportunity. Brady battled for the first string quarterback position with Drew Henson and ultimately started every game in the 1998 and 1999 seasons under Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr. During his first full year as starter, he set Michigan records for most pass attempts (350) and completions in a season (214)."

I won't mind that association on a commercial if the Coors staff would just stop running those out of context, coaches comments for their spots. They're really not funny, at all.

Nobody should be shocked with the Pats' success. They are, after all, the NFL's Yankees.

Awful comparison. The NFL has a salary cap. The Patriots pay as much money as the Dolphins do. But since the Patriots are good, players will go there for less (Moss, Stallworth, Thomas) to win.

Actually, the pats are currently $19.1mil under the cap, and the Dolfish are a measly $9mil under the cap.

Which is odd since the Pats are paying $117mil this year and the Dolfisha re only paying $92mil.

The Pats are second to none other than the Redskins. Miami is 5th from the bottom.

It shows how screwed up the salary caps are in terms of actual numbers.

The interesting thing?

Adelius Thomas makes the most at $13mil. 2x what Brady makes.

Agreed..Totally lame ass comparison .Not only is it a different sport with different salary structures, but a totally different operating philosophy between the two organizations...

listen, here's the deal. you guys have no room to talk right now. People in Massachusetts shouldn't be allowed to argue with any other fan base. We're all right...

Who's number 1 in the NBA right now, the Celtics. Who's number 1 in Baseball, the Sox, who's number 1 in Football... just accept the fact that we all are rooting against you. It's nothing personal, it's just the fact that Boston sports are completely dominate, and we're bitter. Hey, if New York sports were dominate... if the Jets, Yankees, and Knicks, was beating everyone, you'd gripe too. Just let us moan and groan, and hate your teams for now...

Hail to the redskins!

Oh hate away by all means sir..I have no problems with haters, and I welcome all of them. Just try and make the hating somewhat rational and somewhat logical..Other than that,KEEP HATING!!!!:)

You might be bitter, but not everyone is bitter. I might be irritated by the bandwagon fans blah-blah-blahing non-stop, but that's nothing unique to the Pats. Every team in every sport goes through cycles. Be a gracious fan when your team is winning and be a gracious fan when your team isn't, IMO.

Profits from the sale of No. 21 jerseys and other Sean Taylor items at official Washington Redskins stores will go to the trust fund established for his 1-year-old daughter, Jackie.

Agreed. Seconded.

Though it's hard to actually do, in practice.

I fully expect other non-fans to hate and express such hate, but it never stops hurting. :sniff:

Depends what team is winning, some teams I just can't stand and would not give the time of day.
