football...failed. match game...failed.

he's getting fired after the season. screwing up vs. the pats when they could have ended the perfect season and now this? should have gone for the td in regulation. now next week's game is only half as fun.

Dear New England Patriots,

Can you please play another song other then the opening riff to "Welcome To The Jungle" every f**king time the defense makes a goddamn stop?!?!?!?! You effectively killed the song for me. Thank a lot.

Hope you all die,

TDD

EDIT: MacNut is a giants fan. I am one of the few Jets fans.

Who the f**k cares??

What's better than listening to the best band in history while watching the best team in history?

Oh yeah. I'm serious. Although I'd rather hear 'It's So Easy'.

I do, cause it's friggin annoying to hear every goddamn time!

Yes, I was going to comment on your sig... I was waiting for an appropriate time.

And it's now here:

New York Yankees - 2000
New York Rangers - 1994 (Strike shortened season)
New York Giants - 1990 (SB XXV)
New York Mets - 1986
New York Islanders - 1983 (4 Consecutive Stanley Cups)
New York Knicks - 1973
New York Jets - 1969 (SB III)

Though I love GnR, they are not the best band in history.

SO much for the Kneelers being mentioned among the elite teams in the NFL

Here come the wankers

Is that a dig at me? Cause if it is I don't get it and it doesn't bother me.

If it isn't, I still don't get it. I know that NY teams haven't won anything since 2000. I don't like it, but right now Boston is the sports mecca. It comes in cycles. Nothing can be done about it.

At least Ditty doesn't try to rationalize it all away like a few nuts I know. New England is riding high. It will all come to an end at some point. But maybe it's just getting started for the Celtics.

Nope. Posted in wrong thread/board..Not good having several going at once ;)

It's all cyclical. I lived thru the Pat's 1-15 year,Dick MacPherson,Rod Rust etc. I remember going to games when the Pats took it up the breezer week in and week out and the games were over at half time....

LOL... that's forgivable. It depends on what several things are going on at once. ;) :D

Don't get me started on living through horrific years :p

Like being an Isle's fan since the mid-80s? It's heartbreaking to be not so special after much dominance. One of my college buddies was an Islanders fan.. I ended up watching a lot of games in the 90s. But I feel your pain. It's been a while since the Bruins hoisted.

I thought the Jets played a pretty good game. If they had a better running game and didn't have to play Pennington or what's-his-name.. the outcome might have been a bit different. The weather was definitely a factor, but the Jets D really hung in there.

I actually picked the Lolphins (again, thanks furcalchick) to win today. Congrats to them! That's the first damn time they've smiled all season. I bet the Browns and Browns fans are smiling big too. Great win, and all the other teams in their division went down in flames. Particularly the much-hated thieving Ravens.

I agree about the terrible music played at games, but the NFL is not alone. All the major sports play the same crap over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over... I generally just shut my brain off. The frickin' Hurricanes play junk like "Cotton Eyed-Joe" at games! Rednecks. :)

I hate to this thread devolving much further as the end of the season nears. We're all football fans, let's try and be civil to close it out, eh? :)

Ahhh I was born in 1984 after the glory years. By the time I knew and understood what hockey was the Isles were on their way to the laughing stock of the NHL (and in many respects they still are). It's comforting to know that the Isles and Bruins are on the same page right now. At least the Bruins were "man enough" to let Bourque go to the Avalanche and win his only cup.

The Jets actually had a shot, well at least 5 chances totally to put points on the board and they failed to so. Certainly was an interesting game and not the blow out everybody expected it to be. (myself included)

don't you mean this?:

:p

What Clemens and Pettitte? Knoblach doesn't count because he forgot how to throw.

And Pettitte used HGH which isn't a steroid. It seemed like you were actually defending him in the Mitchell Thread.

If Tino, O'Neill, Brosious, Rivera et al used them, then well I'd cry and say good bye to my child hood.
