I think AppleSpider meant "jammy" as in "lucky".

Yup....

That's a phrase I have never heard. Must be a UK thing.

Guess so... but amusing both ways! ;)

I was walking through Victoria Station tonight and the evening paper had a headline 'New England coach says he will make worldbeaters' on the front page. Part of me seriously wondered why a Bellichek press conference would be on the front of a London paper before I realised that it was an article about the new England soccer coach...

I always assumed that "jammy" meant.. physical and got away with it.
As in, jamming receivers at the line of scrimmage.. and beyond. Until the rule about the first 5 yards was introduced. Because of the Pats, I bet.

Roy Williams Suspended

Roy Williams suspended for one game without pay for his horse-collar tackle of Donovan McNabb yesterday.

Just reported on ESPN MNF Countdown.

Just saw it as well..I was wondering when the horse collar king would get nailed..The rule was instituted for William's tackle on TO in 04.

Dear God,please make it stop..Tony Kornhole brings nothing to the table. His little "story" at the beginning of each game is enough to put a screwdriver in my ear..I miss Dennis Miller...

Ok, this seems like a good place to start a discussion. Who would your ideal 3 man booth be?

they need to start making that suspension longer. He's going to keep doing it until he maims somebody if they don't send a message.

My ideal booth would be two man..The third guy is usually trying to be funny and drags down the other two.Kornhole should stick with PTI...Still not as bad as Gumbel on the NFLN...

or joe buck. worst commentator ever

A ton of people say that, and I never get it. I don't think he's amazing, but I don't think he's terrible. All my friends that hate him are baseball people, and I think that's where the hate comes from. Just curious, what is so bad about him as far as football goes?

I don't mind it when he and Troy Aikman call the games. But then I'm super easy to please - I love listening to John Madden and Al Michaels on Sunday nights.

However, Kornholer is truly awful. Even I can't listen to that guy.

MNF (on ABC or ESPN) has been terrible for years. They keep trying to find the magic they had in the early 70s when Howard Cosell was alive. That just isn't going to happen. They've tried "comedians", athletes and writers. All sucked (Williamson, Karras, Tarkenton, Simpson, Namath, Esiason, Fouts, Miller, Kornhole, Jaws, Tirico).

I can't believe that they found a way to replace the annoying Theisman with an even MORE annoying Jaworski.

Buck and Aikman are okay. I actually like some of the insight Aikman offers. Dierdoff isn't that bad and is often funny. Madden is always an interesting view.

To me, the most annoying part of any broadcast are the sideline reporters. And MNF has the record for the worst bunch since their inception.
