I had a thought.. why is it that people hate the Pats, yet I rarely see this applied to the Colts?

Football games on television seem to have devolved to filler time between car commercials and Peyton Manning commercials. Unless you're in the New England area, you never see commercials starring any Patriots. Doesn't this tick anyone off enough to cast their dislike (openly) upon Manning, and therefore, the Colts?

I do find it interesting that Brady doesn't have a national commercial (maybe he has a crappy agent), I mean, even Eli has a commercial.

If I were you, I'd just buy some bigger shirts.

well the colts dont run up the score haha

i hate the pats since that area is dominating in pro sports and Florida dominating college sports (the big 2 that is and even latest Heisman)

Lets go Broncos!

I'm allowed to hate the Pats.... I'm a Jets fan (and it goes vice versa)

I personally can't stand either of the Manning commercials. Every time there's a break it's a friggin Manning commerical. Talk about overusing your alleged star player! I don't hate the Colts, I dislike them though. If they were in the same division they would just as hated as the Pats in my book.

The car commercials aren't much better either.

Interestingly, up until the recent expansion, the Colts were in the AFC East, but they sucked.

He used to have the VISA one with his offensive line.

See, proof that Brady cares more about the team than Peyton. He wouldn't do a commercial without having his lineman in it. Peyton goes and has all of his stupid commercials.

CUT THAT MEAT!

To be fair, I didn't get into football until 2002. Which was after the realignment.

Yes, I watched the Superbowl every year. Never dedicated myself to a team until above mentioned year.

I do see more print ads for Brady though. Maybe because he's man-pretty and Manning is fugly. TV is more forgiving? Peyton sure can dance though! :)

I was heartened to see that the price for a miniature signed football helmet from Skymall (gotta read something on taxi and landing) were $195 for Manning and $349 for Brady.

Ugly, ugly skins/giants game but I'll take the win. I'm not an Eli fan but even I started to feel for the guy by the fourth quarter. He could've gift wrapped the ball and personally walked it over to his receivers and they still would've dropped it.

I'd rather see the Pats win that the Colts but that's possibly because Manning always looks so damn miserable.

My group of football-watching friends hate the Patriots for being 'jammy' and to a certain extent I agree since they can be freakishly lucky at times. Having said that, good teams do make their own luck so it doesn't bother me too much. Besides, I've been to football games in both towns and Foxboro was far more welcoming with friendly tail-gaters feeding us lobster and beer. :D

Sure they do..The media just calls it "dominating" or "impressive" :p Saint Dungy and the Colts would never run it up ;)

Double standards abound when it comes to the Pats/Colts....

Hmm.. I don't think they've really been jammy since Ty Law left. He was jammy as hell, but I loved it! Of course, I am slightly biased. :)

**** Bill Polian for whining like a bitch to the competition committee. It's practically not football anymore. You can't even touch a WR anymore. More like basketball than football now.

I think AppleSpider meant "jammy" as in "lucky".
