If he doesn't sell, I hope the club get relegated. This will hit Ashley in the wallet - his only vital organ.
Judging by the speed at which he drank that 'non-alcoholic' beer, I'd say his liver might be quite important too..

Mr Ashley is of course a long time Spurs fan his purchase of Newcastle United was purely business and wasn't made out of any love for the club. I'm sure the majority of supporters easily saw through his shirt wearing, away end dwelling antics however.
Clearly, he was on international duty yesterday. Unfortunately, I fear his lack of height counts against him when it comes to getting selected for the national side..D'oh! What happened he was in an English kit yesterday? I posted him at Owlsalive last night and this morning he is playing for hull again?![]()

Interesting to read about Capello's little bust-up with Cole and Rooney. I say Capello should keep hounding them till they play his system - after all everybody's been saying that Rooney's biggest fault is his roaming deep when he should be pushing forward.
For me, he is a player in need of a kick up the arse, as it were!
I didn't mind so much, since – although not many people seem to know – the club would have been bankrupt within two years under the previous regime.
However, he could have saved himself all this grief by not hiring an unsackable manager. The only person who is more popular than Keegan on Tyneside is Shearer, and even that is arguable.
I'm sort of wishing I'd applied for a ticket to the Newcastle game it could be an interesting afternoon to put it lightly...

In MLS News, I once again made the long drive to watch a Crew game (still top 'o the league!!!), and this time it was peach; a 4-0 dismantling of the 2nd place New England Revolution...and yet, the Crew are STILL ignored by MLS, ESPN and the news media in general. Everybody talks about Beckham and his golden crosses, but our wily Argentinian, Guillermo Barros-Schelotto, has 16 assists to Becks' 7. David who? And I'd argue that, based on current form, Schelotto is a better crosser of the ball.
Highlights of the game (apologies for the commentary).
Oh, and I won't be going to any more home games this season, because in order to see David Beck-Man and the Galaxy come to Columbus they are making us buy a 3-match package for the last three games of the season, and they're all sold out. So I can't get tickets. I just hope people go to all three games rather than buy the package just for the Galaxy game. I can't wait to see the Crew humiliate the Galaxy though.
On a side note, I went to a football pub after the match and was nearly beat up by a mob of Peruvians. You see, the Peru-Venezuela World Cup qualifier match was on and one of the Crew's strikers, Alejandro Moreno, plays for the Venezuelan national team. So us Crew supporters were cheering him on. The Peruvians had the better side, but every time our boy got fouled we'd shout and the Peruvian fans (there were a crowd of them) would look darkly at us gringos. Shouts of Puta Madre! crossed each other in the air. No fight broke out, but the Peruvians emerged triumphant as their side won 1-0.
We've completely sold out our allocation mind, there'll probably be plenty of room in the home sections...still plenty of tickets available!
I'd be happy with that - we'll just have to see how Newcastle's playing staff react to all the off-field turmoil. As for England, I really don't know what to expect...I think Hull will win 1-0.

Mauled, my dear fellow. The word describing what will happen to you on Saturday is mauled...Still hope we stuff you, even though the rest of the world want us to get thumped.

Fret not, we won't fall for his platitudes and I believe he only drinks non-alcoholic beer, in any case.He might try and buy your good will by offering you free pints, but whatever you do, dont trust him!
Indeed. He took a kick at a water bottle and it landed a little too close to the fourth official for the number board wielding one's liking.I see your Sandancer of a manager has been a naughty boy!

Hopefully the FA won't make him shave his moustache off.![]()
I should hope you would win with that line up. With our 5'9" left back in goal and our regular 'keeper lining up in the centre of defence – alongside two other defenders who aren't actually at the club any more – you'd have to fancy Michael Owen to get on the scoresheet before he limps off injured after a quarter-of-an-hour.an on-line game featuring some fat old bloke whose team is going to get beat on Saturday?![]()
