It was a dive. 100%.
Gerrard is a diving whining cheater.
Bolton beckon this afternoon. After two defeats, it's important we get back to winning ways so I demand nothing less than a comprehensive mauling of our hapless opponents.
It will not fail us.![]()
Dare I ponder if Teh Shirt has lost some of its luster? Or would that be blasphemy?
I must confess, I did question that myself for a moment. But no, I've been convinced teh shirt will see us through.
Let us consider a few things about teh shirt...
- It first came to prominence in the early 1990s
- It was derided for its looks at the time, and indeed ever since.
- It returned last season to guide us through the playoffs and Wembley.
- It's getting on a bit now, and to be honest isn't quite in the shape it once was.
- Despite this, it's quite, quite ace.
Now, all those things equally apply to Dean Windass. And we all love Deano, right?
The polyester marvel remains.
Meanwhile, Nasri is fricking awesome.
Never mind - there's always the Johnstones Paint Trophy for you to look forward to.
I think you might be being a tad optimistic there...League Cup & FA Cup are our only hopes.

This is just the most beautiful goal. Djourou came out from the back and poked a pass down the middle to Vela. His first touch took it away to the left and, from the edge of the box, with Bramble right up his backside and Kirkland standing tall eight yards out, he kissed the most stunning chip over the keeper and in. The arc was absolutely perfect. Two touches were all he needed. Honestly, that was a thing of the rarest beauty.
I've heard some tittle-tattle over the past few days that we might be looking to bring Vela in on loan in January. How much truth there is in this remains to be seen, though.
It wasn't a bad goal, either.
Of course, get past Northampton Town and a glamour tie away at Histon awaits...
Fret not, we're happy to fly the flag for Yorkshire. Can't argue with Champions League Semi's to Histon away in less than a decade though. That's just awesome fun.
Yeah, I'm putting this in the 'not very likely' camp as well. In favour of this rumour, Phil Brown has a good relationship with Arsenal (we often use the Gunners' training facilities when we're playing down south), and I've no doubt that Wenger would feel Brown could be trusted with one of his young charges Fraizer Campbell's success at City last season would indicate that Vela would be in safe hands here.Doubt it would happen....[Vela's] been on loan for 3 seasons already hes got enough first team experience and he is showing that he has the potential to play for the 1st team...
