well yea i agree to an extent but tell me what ou could have done better?

It isn't about what they could have done better... it is the schedule, it is perception

Look at how the Dawgs fell in the last BCS poll last year and LSU ran to #2 from #7 (as I recall)

Gotta make room for Texas Tech beating #1 Texas
Something the Sooners couldn't do

And they have to step aside for those darn Gators :(
After all... they have Tebow

yea but i dont think TT shoudl have jumped to 2nd

it should be

1) Alabama
2)Penn St
3) OU
4)Florida
5) TT
6) Texas

yes, OU above UT. late season losses dont help them. if we play the UT beat OU who beat so and so game to determine rankings, its stupid

Oh, I absolutely agree. OU dominated. But they were a victim to their schedule.

It's okay though, they'll have a chance to make one more statement before the end of the regular season.

Texas Tech is going to have a hard time of it now that they've knocked off Texas. They have to deal with the State of Oklahoma for the next two weeks. Heh heh.

It will be interesting to see if Tech can hang on with this schedule. I think Texas handled themselves extremely well with Mizzou/OK State/Tech. We'll see if Tech can handle their three-game series better.

I see Tech falling to Oklahoma in two weeks.

i know but seriously

55pts at HALF against KSU

than 28-0 after 5 and a half min into the game against NEB

then before that, killing then #16 KU

I think they have held their own very well after losing to UT by 10

I will predict right now that OU will beat TT in 2 weeks in Norman. mark my words

Yeah, last season's LSU was inexplicable.

This year has definitely been crazy, but there seems to be a bit more normalcy and common sense in the polls so far this season.

Not that I didn't enjoy Georgia putting June Jones and the Rainbows in their place last year, but the Dawgs definitely deserved more.

The winner of the big 12 Champain ship will be who ever wins between Oklahoma and Texas Tech. Reason being is if Oklahoma wins they will match Texas's Record and they will have the points spreads on the other games to win the big 12 south.

If Texas Tech they will take it. I see OSU losing to OU. So the out come between Texas Tech and OSU is not going to matter. Mind you I bet it will be Texas Tech since history shows between OSU and Tech it who ever is at home wins.

if UT and OU are in position to win the south with identical records, UT will take it due to tie breaker...

There is too much Big 12 South football to play for me to try and untangle that mess... but head to head will definitely be a factor

TTU beat OU last year, ending their chance for the year. This year they play in Norman and it will be a beast of a game. I think that it will be a better game than the game last night. I call it a very even matchup and will be a really good game. Tech wins by a slim margin, unless Charbonnet and McBath have a few picks. (they each have 5 on the year)

Oh and that is in 3 weeks. Tech has OSU, bye, at OU, Baylor. If they run the table, which they very well may, then they will be in the championship game come Jan 8. Probably against Alabama, unless they lose to Florida/LSU.

Not so fast my friend... what about that 600 pound gorilla Penn State that is sitting in the corner and likely going to go undefeated

I can't think of a bigger nightmare for the BCS and TV ratings than to have Penn State and Texas Tech in the BCS NC

Penn State will not be an issue due to their schedule vs Alabama's and Tech's. They are and probably will sit at the #3 position. Then again, we have had 3 teams ranked #1 lose this year. USC, OU, and now Texas. Hopefully Alabama wont be the fourth!

Nobody really cares what the ACC will do ;)

Hmmm....I wonder who that comment was directed to?

Honestly sorting out the mess in the ACC Coastal Division is going to be interesting for the next few weeks. It's a clusterf*ck right now.

If so, then once again the SEC will be handed a gift and the Big Ten will be exposed as the phony conference that it is. The press and coaches aren't too smart as a group, that's for sure. Yet they effectively are who decide which teams get to play.

If they are the only 2 undefeateds left, then it probably should be them
If there is only 1 or 0 undefeateds... or 3, then there will be controversy for sure

I am not sure 'Bama can take down the Gators in the Championship game

But I agree... an SEC / Big 10 championship leaves much to be desired

The way Florida has been playing I just don't see Alabama in the Title Game.

Is Penn State really a better team than Texas or Texas Tech? Or even Oklahoma?

Personally I don't think so.

That said, if Penn wins out I think they will be in the Title Game, but I think the Big Ten lays an egg in the Title Game for the second year running.
