Minus the fact it would be a 3 way tie. Which is why OU would take it.

Correct. If TT beats OK State next week, then OU beats TT the following game and all else works out then OU,UT, and TT are all 1-loss teams in a 3-way. After going through the list of tie-breakers in the Big 12, the deciding factor would be the team rated higher in the initial BCS standings after the regular season is over. This should favor OU as beating TT would be fresh on the minds of voters.

That being said, if Alabama and Penn State remain undefeated, then it doesn't matter much.

Look for 'Bama to go down and Texas Tech
Penn State is as much of a lock as you can have, but beware Michigan State

Fixed that for you

Heh. Right-o. Thanks. :)

Not quite the rate, but at least all those teams that lost had a chance to win.

What is that rancid smell? ...Oh, it's a dead horse.

but beware Michigan State

Absolutely. The Nittany Lions are going to be on such an emotional high by that game. I can see Michigan State coming in and playing hard. Penn's got the advantage with it being a home game, but they still can't look past it.

What website is that? All I know where to look is bcsfootball.org (FOX) and espn.com

Honestly... because the local sports talk radio broadcaster is an alum
And I get absolutely sick of hearing him
He has totally ruined me on USC football with his arrogance

Well we are pretty damn good. Athletic talent that not even Florida can match player to player. That's besides the point though, let's talk about the Rose Bowl.

USC vs. _____

??

I'd hate to see it be Ohio State, assuming Penn State makes it to the national championship. We already beat up on them, I don't want to see them lose another big game. I'd like to play either Penn State, Texas, or Florida. Those would be ideal in my opinion. Who do you guys think we'll end up playing in the Rose Bowl assuming we don't make the NCG (which is a pretty good assumption right now)?

Wow, what an ending in Lubbock!

That was probably the best football game I've watched since the '07 Fiesta Bowl.

I thought for sure Texas sealed the deal.

I thought... "All they have to do is play some reasonable defense and the game's over."

And then... "INTERCEPTION! ...NO! HE DROPPED IT!"

And then... "All they have to do is knock down this pass and the games' over"

And then... "Okay, just pull him out of bounds and the game is most likely over..."

And then... "Holy crap!!!!"

That was a lot of fun to watch. :)

I do feel terrible for Texas' freshman safety Blake Gideon, the one who let the game-sealing interception drop right through his arms, literally. What a horrible feeling that must be. That was the game, and he let it go. Poor guy. :(

It will be very interesting to see how far Texas drops and how high Tech climbs on such a close game. I just can't see Texas dropping below 5th.

I can see it maybe looking like:

1. Alabama
2. Texas Tech
3. Penn State
4. Texas
5. Florida

I think Florida leaps past Oklahoma.

It's definitely getting crowded at the top, and with Penn's light schedule I can see them getting jumped. I just don't see Tech making such a huge jump to #1, although it's definitely possible.

Tomorrow is going to be very, very interesting.

I did not get a chance to comment on this yesterday. While that freshman dropped that interception lets face the facts. Texas sucked the first half. In the first quarter they had 21 yards of total offense. Their first offense play of the game was a safety. The first half they where just dominated on both sides by Texas Tech.

And like the end of the game showed. 1:30 sec is way to much time to leave Texas Tech. Time and Time again Texas Tech has taken away with very little time left on the clock. They did it to OU 3 years ago in much like they did Texas. In that OU one it was like 3-4 plays go under review and if ANY of them went against Texas Tech they would of lost the game. That was a great game to be at. I wish I was there for this Texas Game.

They did it to Neb 3-4 years before that where they the replays they showed was not that of the play but of the Neb fans. They done it to other schools.
Texas Tech for this year alone have scored in less than 1:30 10 times.

Sum it up Texas lost this game for a huge number of reason. Mainly because Texas Tech dominated that first half. Texas did not play like a number 1 rank team. They might of not even played like a rank team the first half. They dug them selves into a hole they could not get out of. The second half Texas played like a number 1 rank team but not the first half.

Oh, I know USC is a great football team, and I actually like them. I just can't stand the radio hype we get here in ATL on 680 the FAN for them in the morning. Uggghh. It is arrogant, disgusting and totally over the top. It is one of those deals where you savor the pain inflicted on someone when their team is not getting the love.

There is a lot of ball left, but USC won't be able to compete with the schedules that others have. That will hurt you.

Last year was the year for the Rose to break with tradition and match USC with UGA. Since they did not, I can only assume they will take the Big 10 choice again. Most likely... Ohio State, and that will suck big time. I know the Buckeyes would like another shot at you, and it will probably be a better game, but you guys having nothing to prove and everything to lose in that one. Penn State would be a better choice, if they get shut out of the NC too. But unfortunately, I think that will be your fate.

My Dawgs will miss a BCS bowl this year :( but should finish 11-2
However, nothing is certain, Kentucky, Auburn and Ga. Tech will have their say, as well as a bowl team

Yep, you gotta play both halves...
The Dawgs would love to have that first half against Bama back
31-0 Bama first half
30-10 Dawgs second half

And the second half of the Florida game
We had our issues in the first half (aided by the officials)
But we totally unraveled in the second half

Looks like we can add Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer to the list of ousted coaches this year.

At least he's finishing out the season. It's just interesting that less than a week ago he was vehemently denying any rumors of his job security.

Maybe I just don't remember well, but this seems like a big year for canning coaches.

and in the middle of the year as well...is this the result of the bloggers getting all the scoops now? because back in the old days, it was wait until after the season, then fired.
