Kudo's to Miami, they played a great game, but the Gators won in the end, ( the coaching staff at Florida finally figured out THEY could affect a pressure defense).
Florida still has a lot of questions, but they disappointed the haters this week!
Miami is young and coming... Randy Shannon's recruiting is paying off and the young players are producing. They could be a force in the extremely weak ACC this year.
I thought the call in the 3rd quarter (yeah, THAT one) was terrible and changed the game. To his credit, Shannon didn't let it affect him on the field or after the game... but yeah, that was a big one. Even if you want to call the elbow "in" (which he was in AND out at the same time), he never controlled the ball... ever.
Tebow and the O Line look vulnerable and it will be interesting to see how they adjust in the weeks ahead.
Sep. 27th isn't that far off...
The Tide didn't look as dominating (20-6 over Tulane) as they did against Clemson. Maybe the Tigers ARE that bad and Alabama is just good, not great. That's what's great about College ball... every week is an adventure and a new game, and it is so hard to keep focus and play at the highest level every week. I don't think my Dawgs can run the table with the schedule they have at all, and I see plenty of bumps and bruises along the way. At least we get the Tide "between the hedges" this year.
UCLA (not even a good team) over Tennessee
USC dominating people for six years (SEC, Big 12, Big 10 big wins included)
Oregon/Cal/Arizona State being ranked number 2 (or something) in the nation last year before suffering horrendous injuries
Don't look Ramblin, your jealousy is showing.
UCLA over Tennessee (not even a good team) [fixed that for ya!]
The past 6 years? I don't think Bush, Leinhart, et. al. are playing now
Last year's #2s? Oh, I thought we were talking about THIS year

Everybody got a turn at #2 last year didn't they? Even South Florida
I
know you don't want to compare schedules with the
Dawgs...
Good news for
USC though...
Ohio State appears to suck!
That won't help you much in the polls though, apparently playing well against lesser teams still hurts you!

If the Dawgs get penalized for scheduling a lesser opponent in week 1...
...then shouldn't USC get penalized for not scheduling anybody in week 2?
