sad massa :(

dude i watched the replay of the race and i feel asleep. wtf

i missed when massa got passed or w/e happened.

considering what i recall
why don't they run really light fuel loads then 3 laps later change tire and gas and do a one stopper.
isn't that how lewis did it, but it was an accident

Yeah. Looks like if Kimi had not taken him out of the race he'd have been stripped of the place anyway by the stewards. :(

Indeed, and if he hadn't overtaken 3 cars under yellows then he'd never have been in the position to be taken out by Räikkönen in the first place. ;)

3rd to 1st and a Sennaesque middle stint.

I believe the more appropriate description would be Schumacheresque. ;)

The fuel penalty is much less at Monaco than other tracks, and because of the nature of the track you're better off carrying as much fuel as possible in qualifying if you've a car that can still take pole, which Ferrari does and Massa did.

The forecast was still for rain at Massa's stop, so the logical thing to do was to tank him up till the end (the impact of extra fuel is lessoned in the wet), stick on some intermediates and wait for the heavens to open, instead this didn't happen and Massa ended up being stuck on a drying track, tanked up on the wrong tyres.

Had they kept him on a 2 stopper, then Hamilton wouldn't have been able to build the gap that he did. Of course it could've rained again and he'd stlll have found himself down the order.

No, Hamilton did a 2 stopper as well, with a long middle stint, but what bought Hamilton into play was the 1st safety car period, had that not occurred he was almost a minute behind Massa after sticking it in the wall.

Of course with the safety car gone, and a tank full of fuel all he had to do was keep reasonably in check because Massa didn't have enough fuel to rebuild the cushion he needed to come back out in front of Hamilton, and from that point on, the weather conditions favoured Hamilton's strategy.

Räikkönen though...

ughhh just sad to see massa go so far and end 3rd
kimi, blahhh

i still cannot beleave i fell asleep. i mean when there on at 4 in the morning i watch the whole thing but 2 in the afternoon and i pass out. wtf

If you're in the UK (or have access to iPlayer via a proxy) watch this and tell me that modern F1 drivers aren't a boring and, let be honest, soft bunch. What a Legend.

Haven't watched that yet but I love Graham Hill. Immensely likable chap but looks like he could be a real bastard.

Oh man that is some crazy news! Maybe if they switch they will start racing at Indy again and I can actually go to a race:cool: That may be a bit selfish:rolleyes:
The fact that the USGP was cancelled this year has nothing to do with Max and everything to do with Bernie not agreeing with Tony on fees.

I also hope it returns next year. We went the last five years before this cancellation. If it returns our tickets are in Stand A Penthouse, straight across from pit row, and at the braking point for the new T1 chicane (if they take the counterclockwise MotoGP circuit).

brushing the track between sessions, they just showed a close up of the sheer amount of debris that is building up. It is quite ridiculous.

I know. I reckon we'll see safety cars during the race to sweep the track.

EDIT: Hmmm, I think Hamilton and Kubica are low fuelled...

well i think we will definitely see the safety car (just hope it is not for an incident like last years horror crash)

That last lap from hamilton was pretty sharp to say the least, a bit too quick perhaps (?)
