I hate Fox's Saturday afternoon monopoly, even with MLB Extra Innings I can only watch the game they are showing, and here in Omaha it's the Cubs game.
All of the blackout rules are ********. MLB.tv for example. I don't have cable so I don't get NESN, but even if I payed for MLB.tv it would be blacked out. Stupid.
I did read somewhere though that they're trying to eliminate that for MLB.tv for next year when they launch their MLB network (similar to NFL Network).
I know that in the last could years the A's have started playing many Saturday games at 6:05 PM instead of the traditional 1 PM start. I'm assuming bypassing the Fox blackout is the reason why.

I never said I wanted him off the team.. just made fun of him for missing a game because of "vertigo".
Since August 2007, he's hitting .316 with an OPS of .930, 12 HR, 54 RBI, 68 R.
It just took him a bit of time to adjust to the AL, playing at Fenway, plus his kid was sick, etc.

I'm not afraid to say I wanted him off the team last year. He can spend this year making up for it if he wants and then next year, clean slate.
