Griffey just hit 600
Congrats to him. Too bad he hit in Florida.
Yeah, so about 600 people saw it.
MLB Gameday for iPhone looks awesome.. it's even going to have the video highlights like the new Gameday 2008 has![]()
He should of been at 700 by now. I would of much rather seen Griffey/A-Rod fight for the title then see Bonds have it.
BOSTON -- A Red Sox Nation slugger has found a new nation to call home.
David Ortiz and 220 other immigrants became U.S. citizens Wednesday at a ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston.
The 32-year-old Red Sox designated hitter, who is from the Dominican Republic, held an American flag in one hand as he recited the Pledge of Allegiance with the other new citizens. He was joined by many members of his family, including his father, Americo, who said in Spanish afterward he was proud of his son.
Ortiz has been out of the Red Sox lineup since June 1, when he injured his wrist. He has been with the Red Sox since 2003, helping to power them to two World Series championships in the past five years.
As long as the Phillies don't blow it they should win the division. The Mets don't want to win and well the Braves are the Braves.
what's that supposed to mean? even though we aren't a good team at all as of now...
and you forgot the marlins. they are a very streaky team, and i expect them to be the most likely challenger for philly for the title. the mets are garbage and probably need to clean house, and the way we're playing right now, we're going to be sellers soon, since we can't get a break at all.
I have always thought the Braves were the most over rated team. Win the division every year and only what 1 world series title.
Sounds like the Yankees from 2000-2006. *rimshot*
The Yankees at least had 4 rings before that. How many did the Braves get in 16 years.
2001 had one of the most memorable World Series ever played. It was the end of the Dynasty.
Yeah, still not sure how the DBacks survived the Byung-Hyun Kim meltdown.
