Wow, I didn't know it was the Cake wedding! Congrats! :)

At least Hull City aren't in the final, that might prove to be a dire conflict of interests... :D

Ta muchly.

We carefully plotted free weekends that avoided the domestic season/World Cup – we forgot totally that the Champions League Final has been moved to Saturdays from this season onwards.

It's a good job Manchester United got knocked out and won't be appearing, otherwise there would be no chance of the Huffkin Cakes coming up from Kent. :p

Well Ribbery got a 3 match ban...I hope Real overpays Munich for his services...godspeed Frank!

One Inter goal on the counterattack should seal it for Inter today...maybe Eto?

That would be a rewrite of Inter's second leg match against Chelsea. For today's match, I'll go with Milito to score for Inter. The question is, how many goals will Barca be able to score? I expect they'll get two, which will not be enough.

Bayern needed Ribery to have even a tiny chance at winning the Champions League...

As for today's match, I still think Barca are the better team, and they are playing at home, but Inter have a fairly solid aggregate score advantage. I feel like it's too close to call. Wish I could watch it.

It's arrogant to call this match the "real final" but you'd have to think that whoever wins this is going to be a heavy favorite to win the final. If any team are worthy repeat Champions its seems like this Barca team is it, but Inter under Mourinho are a world-class side too. And who knows? Bayern may raise their game and stun the world (but not without Ribery IMO).

harsh red card should have been a yellow (with the same end results though)

onthe other side this recent chivu tackle was a flat out red and he got a yellow ..so it's even

Motta was stupid, he deserved to go off. But Busquets hardly covered himself with glory with that shameful dive.. I'd call that simulation, or an attempt to decieve the referee, and worthy of a retrospective European ban.

Yeah of the underdogs it seems. I'd personally would rather see Bayern win it purely because I'm not a fan of teams who park the bus...it's quite dire to watch

Never a sending off. Really spoilt the game. That said if you wanted to see a classic Italian defensive masterclass this is it.

Also for those of you in the Uk, is there a more irritating commentator that Clive T? Well Jonathan Pearce obviously, but aside from him...

LOL. Sergi Busquets, you big girl.

A stroke of tactical genius from the Special One? Or a triumph for negative, shut-up-shop Italian football? You decide...

The pundits will say that Barca once again suffer from having no plan B.
