blah, my Dad supports Wolves. But not me. Sky Blue Army!
Coventry supporter then, eh? Unfortunately it will be a long time before they're back in the top flight.

Michael Turner's not going anywhere.Well, how do you replace the worlds best player?
Agreed. With Owen Hargreeves looking at possibly retiring, I think he'll look to strengthen the midfield as well as buying Valencia to put out on the wing. I do hope he doesn't plan on sticking Rooney out on the left again, for England's sake!Seriously though, it wouldn't surprise me if Sir Alex brings in a couple of players to replace him - ones who aren't at Ronaldo's standard but are more than capable of doing a job for him, while offering more flexibility and cover.
Indeed. I for one am very excited.1000BST officially marks the start of the new campaign today. We had a teaser yesterday when Carlisle we're drawn at home to Oldham in the Carling Cup, but this is it... Fixtures day.![]()
Bingo!they could just be placeholders or something
Everton is playing MSL all stars July 30th... Now, if it's gonna be any good, that I don't know... edit: nor do I know where they're playing... (they are playing River Plate in Edmonton 5 days earlier, though.)any good game in the US this summer?
That Euro tour thingy that comes to the states but only plays in big cities, the "Tour of Champions" or some such usually Barca, Milan, Celtic, I think Man City...
Ah, but that doesn't stop UEFA with their 'Champions' League, does it?Celtic /= Tour of Champions.
Celtic /= Tour of Champions.
On to futbol:
Any of you other USA-based fans of the Beautiful Game planning to make it to any of the matches at the 2009 World Football Challenge? AC Milan, Inter Milan, Club America and Chelsea are participating. AC vs Inter in Massachusetts sounds tasty.
Johnson to Liverpool sounds like it could be a decent buy, especially if he will be a regular starter.
Ronaldo was the player of the year for 2008, not 2009. Messi will easily become player of the year now. No question.
The worlds best player? Highly debatable.
I have now had a chance to analyse the fixtures, and have pinpointed the following games for possible attendance (at least, until Sky mess everything up by moving them to a week night)...
26th September: Liverpool
17th October: Fulham
5th December: Aston Villa
16th January: Tottenham Hotspur
1 May: Wigan Athletic
Catering staff at the relevant stadia are advised to order in plenty of crisps and Chunky Kit Kats in preparation for my arrival.
It would be indeed. It would also be my first visit to those other grounds as well, obviously we've not had the chance to often go to Premier League places in the past.First visit to Wigan?
Ooo... pie. Yes, I'll have a pie as well I reckon.Surely at Wigan you'd be sampling their pie selection?
Awww man, I thought this was going to be about the real, masculine version of football.
Good stuff, while he's in a predicting mood ask your pal if he reckons we'll stay up or not.Jaffa - Everton away first game of the season, what did I say...![]()
