The semi-finals have been drawn for the semi-finals of the League Cup – Manchester United will take on Manchester City while Blackburn will face Aston Villa.

There's a bit of a furore over the aftermath of tonight's Manchester City/Arsenal tie – Arsene Wenger stormed off down the tunnel having not shaken Mark Hughes' hand, leaving the City gaffer stood waving at his back. When asked about the spat after the game, Wenger tersely responded 'I am free to shake hands with who I want'. Blimey. I suppose he just didn't see Hughes...

To be fair to Wenger, His sight is so notoriously bad he probably didn't see Hughes, innocently assumed he'd already left the pitch and walked down the tunnel to give him his hand. :D

I don't know what they did with the 50 million which was injected in to the club earlier this season
Did that actually happen though? I recall Al Fahim saying he would put this money into the club, but then they were taken over within a couple of weeks – I think he said the money was still available should the new owners want it, but was it actually ever paid?

Either way, they're in a right bloody mess down on the south coast.

Just a heads-up to the US-based people here, the draw is on ESPN2 at 12pm of you haven't already checked...I have a busy morning and night planned but my afternoon schedule has been cleared. :D

I'm not sure the money WAS ever paid. At any rate, it will take a near miracle to avoid the drop the way things are going now...

Ready for the draw. Listening to talksport.net and getting excited.

Do the English want France in their group? I'll take them in the US group. I also want another shot at Ghana, as crazy as that sounds.

Go USA!

Nobody wants France in their group...they haven't playing well, but they still have a lot of world-class players....

I hope USA gets an easy draw - if we progress out of the group stage we'll be playing tough teams anyway.

I agree they have world-class players, but they definitely haven't been playing like world-class players. France is over-hyped and over-rated at the moment and I think the US guys would be happy to take them on.

I just want a better showing then last time. Please.
