Tonight is the draft lottery..... with the Leafs' luck, we'll get the #1 pick......and hand it to Boston. *sigh* Kessel better score 50 next season.......


Also, I see that Turco is not going to be re-signed by the Stars....

Whats up Surely!?!....I thought I felt someone talking about the Stars :cool:
I sure hope they keep Lehtonen in net, he seems like a solid goaltender, especially his size. That, and Modano and maybe even Jere Lehtinen leaving (if they do)? It will be a whole new Stars team from the past 10+ years they have been here. A whole bunch of new faces leading the Stars.

Here's to the remaining 16 teams! Hope it is a exciting, fun playoffs this year. I am feeling another eastern conference win this year. Good luck everyone!

The bag of hurt line... Jobs saying Blu-Ray is a bag of hurt.

It's a 18 point increase from last year. I just hope we get a good pick again.

The lottery is being broadcast on Versus right?

I think the Stars are going to go with Lehtinen....... who else?

What's going on with the rumors of Brett Hill, Wayne Gretzky, and Mike Modano getting together (probably with another major buyer) to buy the Stars? Any traction to that rumor from last week?

Yeah, looks like the lottery is on at 8pm EST/5pm PST on Versus...... right in between episodes of Whacked Out Sports.:rolleyes: Ah NHL, you guys sure know how to pick a winner....

There was an article about that posted yesterday on our local paper. Looks like Modano and the former president (Jim Lites) want to buy the Stars as they were put up for sale in Feb. I guess I am missing something, as I didn't ever hear anything about Hull and Gretzky being involved. Article link

edmonton desperately needs a center and Tyler Seguin has been rated #1 overall in the final prospect rankings, so it looks like he'll probably go there. this would mean the Bruins would get Taylor Hall :D :D maybe with him we will actually be able to score goals next year. I'll take either guy though

If the Flyers win, I will be shocked. They haven't demonstrated the ability to play consistently. Perhaps the new season will indeed kick them in the butt and we'll start seeing some better production.

And I checked, NHL GameCenter online DOES have the games that aren't televised, so I will be able to watch them as long as Comcast doesn't go out again. :D

So, I'm excited, I'll be home two hours early to let Comcast in the door to work on the fact that my connection has been dropping.

Thanks lol. I just love that we're going to be able to add a possible franchise player to a playoff caliber team. We might finally be able to bring the cup back to Boston in a couple of years... It would be nice. It's only been 38 years.

Hopefully Kessel is one of the key pieces in the Leafs winning the Cup in the next 4-5 years...... It's only been, um, I can't count that high......:(



Holy craziness tonight. Although I expect Phoenix to win the series, I'd say that all of the winners tonight were unexpected.

Hopefully this is the beginning of an exciting, unpredictable playoffs.
