So the Flyers overcame the refs. Whew. I went out to dinner, I couldn't watch it any longer.
And Cooke and Neil are both bums. If we could retract the league a few teams, we could run the scrubs out and have the talent more evenly spread. And Cookes and Neils would all stay in the minors, or in prison, where they belong.

The reffing is this series is absolutely pathetic. I'm actually starting to believe that conspiracy theory I posted a few days ago. Goal disallowed because of "distinct kicking motion"?
All the guys on CBC agreed that it was an obvious call. Clear goal. Canucks robbed again.
As I type this it's 4 - 3 for LA. Should be tied at 4 - 4.

Carter absolutely needs to start earning his keep. Briere would have to score 15 goals before I start accepting his existence again. I still want him launched into the sun.
I'm happy to see Carcillo do well. He's a bum, but he is playing harder than most of the guys out there.
And then there's Anderson on the Avs. What a game against the Sharks. Woo!

I can't believe how physical the Canucks played. Early in the game, I thought they'd beat the Kings into submission.

My point is that that obvious call was wrong. Although, I don't expect you to think it was wrong. But everyone I've talked to has agreed.
Even the LAKings fake GM said, "I'm shocked SHOCKED that the goal was disallowed." Just add that to a huge long list of terrible terrible calls. Some bad for LA, most bad for the Canucks.
For me, these playoffs have sucked primarily because every team I want to do well is doing poorly.

Devils get a two man advantage on a weak crosscheck call. Goal. 15 minutes into the game, 3 Flyers penalties, 1 for the Devils. Hmm. At least it's not 6 like last game.
So, it's swallow the whistle in some games, it's call everything that happens, including in the stands during another game, and then change halfway through.
And NathanCH, I'm sure it was just an artifact of the television broadcast when I heard booing of the US Anthem at the world juniors when Team USA beat the Canadians in Saskatchewan.

But now Gagne and Carter are out for the rest of the season. I'm going to go ahead and assume the Flyers aren't going to the finals where they might get Gagne back.
But so far, so good. We helped knock the Rangers out of the playoffs, and we might just do it to the Devils. That's always a nice start.
